The Top Ten
1 Batman (DC) Batman aka Bruce Wayne is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comics #27. In film, he has been portrayed by Lewis Wilson, Robert Lowery, Adam West, Michael... read more

First off batman is not a superhero, just a hero with lots of money and gadgets. And yes he's a skilled martial artist but it can only help you so much against someone with who can fly and shoot lasers out of his eyes. Second off batman can defeat anyone so long as he has prep time. That could take weeks or even months, but if he's caught off guard by some random guy with a gun, he's done. Third off, he could do anything simply because he's batman. How is batman lifting that I beam with one hand? Because he's batman. How is he defeating everybody in the justice league at once? Because he's batman. How can he do any impossible feat/task? All because he's batman.

2 Superman (DC) Superman is a comic character. And probably the first powerful superhero in the fictional world. The character was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, high school students living in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1933. It was published by DC comics. The first animated superhero movie was superman... read more

I have difficulty watching an invincible character fight against those he is more powerful than. I often root against Superman because he is so OP, and his opponents are the ones who are creative and smart. He really is the anti-batman: Given all the physical tools, but gets outsmarted and outmaneuvered by his enemies.

Superman can be cool, as long as he doesn't get any more overpowered. I am a Superman fan, but, even I know he is overrated thanks to its overpower. He is an iconic hero on the other hand.
Note: Superman got shot with a kryptonite bullet by Metallo. (Superman/Batman: Public Enemies)

3 Felicity Smoak (DC) Felicity Smoak is a DC Comics character. Her first appearance was in The Fury of Firestorm #23, created by writer Gerry Conway and artist Rafael Kayanan.

Everyone hates Felicity so much...they put a nobody comic character this high up because they dislike Olicity...WOW.

She is literally almost only on Arrow. Wow. Y'all hate Olicity THAT much?

4 Deadpool (Marvel) Deadpool is a fictional antihero created by Marvel who appears in their comics. Deadpool's first appearance was in New Mutants #98 by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza in February of 1991. His powers include self-healing and super strength. He is regarded as one of the funniest characters in comics due... read more

As a side character popping up every now and then he was fun. Now he is a bit overdone. Not to mention his humor is so overplayed that it takes away tension. His success all too often comes in making other good characters look like fools which is not cool (Taskmaster). As well being essentially the voice of the fans is a problem as they quite frankly make for lousy stories.

Whats to like about him? he's pansexual? he breaks the 4th wall? he makes smart-ass comments and sexual remarks? or that fact that he's an over powered Deathstroke rip off. the movie was over rated by far. although Ryan Reynolds did a great job. people saying it's the perfect movie, I mean REALLY? this is the perfect movie? who are you kidding? the only reason why it done so well was because all the Die hard fat geeks and nerds spent all their time and money watching it over and over again in the cinemas. nek minute no money for the next issue.

5 Wonder Woman (DC) Wonder Woman is a fictional superhero created by William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter, appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character is a founding member of the Justice League, a goddess, and Ambassador-at-Large of the Amazon people. In her homeland, the island nation... read more

Why are DC and WB powering down Wonder Woman's god like abilities (in the movies) and why isn't she shown flying around, she does have Hermes' gift of flight! The hell with the invisible plane she's a goddess and doesn't need it.

I think she fine. One of DCs titans (not teen titans I mean like the pillars of dc) and the only one I respect. But her weakness is weird.

I love how she's on a list saying she's overrated and the only other comment says "she cool".

6 Loki (Marvel) Loki Laufeyson, or Loki Odinson, is a fictional character appearing in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is the adoptive brother and archenemy of Thor, and is known as the "God of Mischief". In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character has been portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.
7 Spider-Gwen (Marvel)
8 Harley Quinn (DC) Harley Quinn is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as a sidekick of the Joker.

The number of fans who prefer her to the Joker and who say that she'd win against many characters is ridiculous! I don't understand how they tend to forget that the Joker is the reason why she exists. He transformed his psychiatrist into Harley Quinn, the Joker himself!

Her fanbase is the worst! And she the most oversexeulized characters I've ever seen!

So overrated! Does nothing compared to deadpool

9 The Thing (Marvel)

Holy crap, why is Deadpool, wolverine, magneto, doomsday, doctor doom and bullseye on this list?! TF?

More underrated in my opinion. Cyborg is overrated.

10 Iron Man (Marvel) Iron Man is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, as well as its associated media. The character was created by writer and editor Stan Lee, developed by scripter Larry Lieber, and designed by artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby. He made his first appearance... read more

All his villains are awful and he has no real powers of his own. When his suit is destroyed then he is screwed! Not even Robert Downey Jr. Could make this lame hero cool.

The Contenders
11 Spiderman (Marvel) Spider-Man is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics existing in its shared universe. The character was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the... read more

I don't know about you, but personally I'm just extremely tired of this character. Like he's constantly being considered op all the while he's annoying and sure he's relatable, but that makes him boring, the last thing I want to read about is a regular guy with regular guy problems has all this stupidly op power. I do like his older versions though

He is a good character, but widely considered one of the best characters Marvel has to offer. He isn't

I could throw a sword at his web and he would die.

12 Wolverine (Marvel) Wolverine is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly associated with the X-Men. His powers and abilities include a healing factor and his signature adamantium claws and adamantium skeleton.

He is almost always the first superhero brought up when someone talks about Marvel comics. It is so frustrating how everyone gushes over him when he appears in every x-men movie. He is used so often that we barely get a chance to see other characters develop. as cool as he is, some of us would want to see othe heroes step up.

It seems wolverine is so overrated. I would put him above batman on this list.

Are you serious? Wolverine is not overrated at all. Screw the person who put him on this dam list

13 Sara Lance (DC)

Sara is 100% overrated and only popular because "she's a generic badass" or "she's hot."

I'm sorry but at least in Arrow (haven't seen Legends) she is so overrated.

A character created by CW's Arrow, she is a badass and deserves her role as the captain of the Waverider.

14 Ultron (Marvel) Ultron is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is most recognized as a foe of the Avengers, and has a quasi-familial relationship with several of their members, especially his creator Hank Pym. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by... read more
15 Robin (DC) Robin is the name of several fictional superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was originally created by Bob Kane, Bill Finger, and Jerry Robinson, to serve as a junior counterpart to the superhero Batman.
16 The Incredible Hulk (Marvel) Robert Bruce Banner, also known as The Hulk or Bruce Banner, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and was portrayed by Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Can't defeat D.C. and Marvel combined. Superman could defeat him alone. Thor could defeat him alone, and he did in Thor: Ragnarok. Scarlet Witch could defeat him alone. Jean Grey could defeat him alone. Iron Man could defeat him alone. Vision could defeat him alone. Doctor Strange could beat him alone. Deadpool could beat him alone. Yeah, he could TOTALLY destroy Marvel and D.C. Combined. Makes sense

Why isn't Hulk further up on this list? It seems that everybody thinks he the greatest and best and so unstoppable. I would put him in the top five

17 Catwoman (DC) Catwoman is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with the superhero Batman.

Catwoman has been featured in many media adaptations related to Batman. Actresses Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether, and Eartha Kitt introduced her to... read more

Yeah she's hot and epic, but she's used too much. Everyone is too supportive of her and the DC media never gives her a good origin story.

I just prefer Talia al ghul for batman over selina. Plus, some of her depictions are so anoying.

18 Captain America (Marvel) Captain Steven Grant Rogers, most known as Steve Rogers or Captain America, is a fictional superhero appearing in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was a World War II veteran and is known as the world's first superhero. The character was created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon and... read more

He is lame and is only a hero with his stupid science experiment.100% loses to batman. If you disagree go to death battle batman vs cap dummy

Says not to do drugs. Gets his powers through drugs.

The U.S. deserves better than this guy.

19 Supergirl (DC) Supergirl is the superhero name of Kara Zor-El, cousin to Superman. She was created by writer Otto Binder and designed by artist Al Plastino in 1959, and she first appeared in Action Comics, in whose first issue Superman himself was introduced... read more

Credit for the Joker's creation is disputed; Kane and Robinson claimed responsibility for the Joker's design,... read more

I mean, he's great, but when compared to other more creative villains, he's a touch too simplistic. If he wasn't in some great stories everyone would've forgotten about the Clown Prince of Crime

Curse the one who put the great Joker on this list!

I mean, the Joker is the best character a superhero movie could ever have

Great villain but just as overexposed as his nemesis, he works for street level villains but some think he's the greatest villain ever and I just don't believe that

21 Lex Luthor (DC) Alexander "Lex" Luthor is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics.
22 Bullseye (Marvel)

Other than this guy, you may as well change the title of this list to "most iconic superheroes/supervillains"

23 Aquaman (DC) Aquaman is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the character debuted in More Fun Comics #73.
