Top 10 Most Shocking or Disgusting Moments in the History of Cricket

The Top Ten
1 Terrorist attack on Sri Lankan team in Pakistan

I'm a Sri Lankan. This is one of the most tragic moments in my life. We all are human beings, so please think and just live like that. Even Pakistani players have to protect themselves in Pakistan.

This is against the spirit of cricket... really shocking!

This made me cry. Cricket's not about that!

2 Bradman Out for Duck in Final Test

Extremely disgusting moment. I wasn't born at that time. However, my father told me about that, and I was really upset to see that he needed just one run and unfortunately didn't score even that.

The greatest feat that could ever be achieved is an average of 100. I don't see a single person who can even maintain an average of 65. Can this ever be achieved? God knows.

Nothing came to my mind except disappointment when I learned about it. I didn't take dinner that night.

Australia won the test by an innings, but if they had not, then I am sure he would have done something. His average would have been above 100.

3 Tendulkar given wrong LBW on Duck 'Three Times in a Row' against Sri Lanka

Giving wrong decisions three times in a row is really frustrating for the millions watching because the one given out (wrongly) is "SACHIN TENDULKAR."

Now, there might have been three more hundreds to his list.

The greatest batsman doesn't deserve that.

4 Under-arm bowling by Chappell Brothers

Cheats. It was just one Chappell brother, though. The other one was following the captain's orders.

This is the number one shameful act in cricket history.

Cricket lost its 'gentleman's game' tag when this incident took place.

5 Poor decisions by umpires, Sydney Test, Border Gavaskar Trophy 2007-08

According to me, it was the most disgusting moment in cricket. So disappointing to see players like Ricky Ponting, Andrew Symonds, and Michael Clarke showing such ungentlemanly behavior on the cricket field.

It was so disappointing for me. Clarke was so annoying at that time.

6 Shoaib Akhtar breaks 100mph barrier

He proved himself the fastest bowler in cricket history.

He is a cheetah. You are a flying bowler.

7 Australia advanced to the Final of World Cup 1999

Shocking! Gibbs could have caught those, but he was careless.

8 Andrew Flintoff retires

God knows why most cricketers retire before 35 years of age.

9 Symonds went on fishing at the time of important team meeting
10 Windies players refused to play for their national side because of dues
The Contenders
11 Sachin Tendulkar retires

He is my best batsman. I felt very sad.

12 Phillip Hughes dies after being hit in the head by ball

This really ought to be number 1. A guy died playing cricket, for crying out loud. But no, Tendulkar getting a raw deal from umpires is totally worse... right.

I cried a lot. He was just 25. Whenever he comes to my mind, I feel so emotional.

Saddest moment in the history of cricket. Phil Hughes (rest in peace).
