161 Thin Lizzy Thin Lizzy Thin Lizzy are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1969. Their leader Phil Lynott was composer or co-composer of almost all of the band's songs, and the first black Irishman to achieve commercial success in the field of rock music. Thin Lizzy's most successful songs, "Whiskey in the Jar", "Jailbreak" more.

Probably the most underrated band ever cause they were the pioneers of the dual lead guitars and Phil's lyrics are simply perfect in every way and Brian Downey is probably the most underrated drummer ever cause he kicks butt and Lso even James hetfield said that the best metal band he thinks is black sabbath but all around music wise thin lizzy is the best and another reason there album. Live and dangerous is considered to be the best live Album ever so yeah very underrated

Excellent suggestion certainly a top 70's underrated band.

162 Thousand Foot Krutch Thousand Foot Krutch

166 Kreator Kreator Kreator is a German thrash metal band from Essen. Their style of music is similar to that of their compatriots Destruction, Sodom and Tankard; along with those three bands, Kreator has been referred to as one of the "big four" of Teutonic thrash metal, and they are often credited with helping pioneer more.
167 Tankard Tankard Tankard is a thrash metal band from Frankfurt am Main, Germany, founded in 1982. Along with the bands Kreator, Destruction and Sodom, Tankard is often considered one of the "The Big Teutonic Four" of Teutonic thrash metal.

Heck yeah! People think that they're a gimmick band, but they have incredible musical chops- just listen to "For a Thousand Beers" They play punkish thrash metal with a strong Venom/Motorhead influence. EMPTY TANKARD!

168 Black Sabbath Black Sabbath Black Sabbath are a Heavy Metal band formed in Birmingham, England in 1968 by guitarist and songwriter Tony Iommi, Singer Ozzy Osbourne, Bassist and Main Lyricist Geezer Butler and Drummer Bill Ward . The band got into mainstream after improving after their debut album got negative feedback . In 1978, more.

Black Sabbath is one of Godfathers of rock and roll. They helped create rock. And they have such a unique way of playing. Their music sounds somewhat dark and satanic to some, but that's not what they were going for at all. They were just trying a different form of rock, and they really pulled it off. They deserve so much more credit!

More kids need to know about this band.

I totally agree The Most Underrated Band You can't disagree with me!

This is underrated. Not queen, deep purple and nirvana.

170 Sham 69
171 The Alan Parsons Project The Alan Parsons Project The Alan Parsons Project were a British progressive rock band, active between 1975 and 1990, consisting of Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson surrounded by a varying number of session musicians and some relatively consistent band members such as guitarist Ian Bairnson, bassist and vocalist David Paton, more.

Alan Parsons Project is definitely underrated. "the Voice" and "Old and Wise", "I Robot", "Games People Play","I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You","Eye in the Sky","You Don't Believe", "When I breakdown". These songs still get plenty of play time. Alan Parsons himself should be in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame just for his engineering on some of the best Albums. Abbey Road by that one group Beatles and Dark side of the Moon by that other group Pink Floyd. By the way which one is Pink? Year of the Cat - Al Stewart and Some Hollies albums. Like the commenter below said, "grab some phones turn the lights out and LISTEN!

All ya gotta do is listen to the first 6 albums & you'll see what I mean. They, like Steely Dan, used only the best studio musicians and voices... Arranged in unique style. "Tales of Mystery & Imagination" first release based on the work of Edgar Allen Poe... All the albums were themed... Do yourself a favor - find a quiet place with some good headphones & just listen...
