Better than Jailhouse Rock and Heartbreak Hotel? In my opinion, yes. Better than Hound Dog? It's close, real close - BeeBlue

10 I Want You I Need You I Love You

I do love this song, however, the main reason I am adding it to the list is because, when I first visited Memphis in 2009 with my friend, it reminds me of walking from the Heartbreak Hotel toward Graceland and hearing the song belting out from Sirius Radio on Graceland Plaza. Sweet sweet memories.

Can't believe how much this song is underrated. Definitely deserves more attention

This is beautiful love Elvis all over again.

Should be in top 3 according to me.

The Contenders

11 Marguerita

This song is so underrated that even this list does not know it. So do some listening. It's a film song released in 1963. It was copied in an Indian film. Just shows the great vocal capabilitiesof Mr. Presley. Aa

This song is so underrated that even this list din't contain it once. Beautiful song from a film and just shows what a great singer Mr. Presley were.

Very good song. For a weird reason was the bigest hit for the 60s in Greece

Kind of sounds like Teddy bear but is a very catchy B-side of Jailhouse Rock

One fo the catchiest tunes ever written and sung perfectly by the King

19 Kentucky Rain

I live in KY and find it being played on the radio when it rains. The back-up singers add just enough to Elvis vocals to make this one of my favorites. Several years after Elvis, Ronnie Milsap had a similar dilemma in Smokey Mountain Rain trying to find his girl. That's also a great song.

Beautiful song I can even imagine the story told. Kentucky Rain and Tomorrow is a Long Time are his most underrated songs.

20 In the Ghetto
21 It Hurts Me

Highly underrated especially his performance of it in the 1968 comeback special

Great track. A classic

I know! It's so good.

22 Old Shep
23 Rubberneckin'

When he sang this in Change of Habit he looked and sounded sexy as all get-out.

His most catchy song! I love it!

25 The Ghetto
26 You'll Think of Me

B-Side to Suspicious Minds.

27 You'll Never Walk Alone

Perfect religious and uplifting song for any point in one's life.

28 We Call on Him

Actually, I'm listening to this one now and I feel all this hits me again and again and I'm not even religious! What a great performer Elvis was! This voice moves me so all the time. He is one of the few people that are not overrated. He was truly divine as a singer. He deserved all this admiration he received.

29 I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen
30 Tomorrow Night
31 I've Lost You
32 An Evening Prayer

Nice list. - Britgirl

36 Ask Me
37 No More
38 You Gave Me a Mountain

Elvis recorded the best version of this song!

39 Young and Beautiful

Especially important in his film Jailhouse Rock, since his co-star Judy Tyler was in a fatal car crash with her husband right after the movie was finished. The last song in the movie was this one. Elvis refused to watch the movie after her death.

One of the best songs of presley's career

40 Stranger In the Crowd

This lesser known Elvis song grabbed me the first time I ever heard it.

41 Early Morning Rain

Love the tempo of this song. It just keeps movin with such a natural transition into the verses. Love it.

Love Elvis' version of Gordon Lightfoot's hit.

42 It's Now or Never
43 It's Easy for You

The other woman. This man knows that even though he has given up his family for her and has already been dumped by her for another man, that he'll take her back whenever she gives the word. Every word and note of this song blends with Elvis voice so perfectly that I can feel the resignation and deep sadness his love for her has cost him.

Beautiful song, one of my new favourites, his voice is very strong here

44 Edge of Reality

An unusual type of song for Elvis. His voice is top notch on this track and I wish more people could hear it. From the movie "Live a Little, Love a Little".

45 Got a Lot o' Livin' to Do
46 Return to Sender

Over the years I've found that a lot of people know and love this song. About 20 yrs ago I went to a party with a very diverse crowd. There was a karaoke machine and no one wanted to sing. I cranked it up and started singing Return To Sender and that was all it took to get the party started.

47 Love Letters
48 Tender Feeling

From his movie " Kissin' cousins". Not very well known ballad of Elvis, but one of my favorites.

49 Bossa Nova Baby

Energetic and fun.
