Ac/dc? Tool? Stone Sour? Rammstein? A7x? This is a list of UNDERRATED BANDS. Between the buried and me are underrated as hell. They are just as talented as Dream Theater, Symphony X, Meshuggah or any popular progressive metal band. Their mixtures of progressive metal, metalcore and technical death metal are sublime. (by the way - Tool are one of my favorite bands, but they're definitely not underrated. Not at all. )

This band is like the apocalypse: fast, furious, and most of all, CHAOTIC. - ThatoneMetalhead

For all you people out there who don't know btbam or just don't listen to them well you are missing out. This is truly one of the best bands out there today. I listen to A7X slipknot disturbed and all those other mainstream bands but these guys outshine even those bands. They have some of the best talent to come to the metal genre in a long time. Seeing them live backs up everything I'm saying. They sounded better live than on cd which I can't say for A7x, definitely not disturbed slipknot Bullet For My Valentine and a bunch of other bands. If you wanna hear some amazing music and hear some originality then listen to btbam and prepare for your ears to rejoice. songs to listen to

Meshuggah's line-up consists of founding members vocalist Jens Kidman and lead guitarist Fredrik Thordendal, drummer Tomas Haake, who joined in 1990, rhythm guitarist Mårten more.

Fair to say, Meshuggah revolutionised the whole idea of metal sound; their whole mindbendingly complex syncopated rhythms are something worth mentioning. Music for the mind.

50 Deftones Deftones Deftones are an American alternative metal band from Sacramento, California. The band, which was founded in 1988, consists of Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Frank Delgado, Abe Cunningham and Sergio Vega.

By far one of the sickest bands around.

Each album has different styles and rarely sounds like other bands. Great live shows

Poltergeist. Amazing. Chino Moreno? Voice of a demon-angel!

51 Mechina
52 Cirith Ungol

Helloween is not only the first real power-metal band but also the band that mastered the genre. The Keeper Of The Seven Keys part 1&2 and The Legacy, Walls Of Jericho, The Time Of The Oath, The Dark Ride and their most recent release My God Given right? Anyone? Only Three of these albums earn them a rightful place up with the other metal gods plus all the other good stuff they've released!

Helloween is not only better than Iron Maiden, but they are better than almost any other power metal band. - ThatoneMetalhead

Helloween deserve better they are as good as bands like iron maiden

How the hell are these guys underrated? I mean they aren't that overrated but they are far from underrated, especially now that they're disbanded. - MetalFoREVer1228

Pantera took thrash metal to a new level. Without them, we wouldn't have Rammstein, Stone Sour, Mastodon and more. Amazing riffs, furious tempo in some songs, face melting guitar solos and gut busting vocals. Although I like Staind, since when have they ever been a metal band?

Pantera was an amazing band that did not receive nearly as much credit as they deserved. Their edgy take lead the world of thrash metal to new heights of which the world had never seen before.

I love Pantera, but they're not underrated
They're recognized as "the guys who saved metal in the 90s"...
They're one of the few bands that gets the credit they deserve - Rocker00
