They are considered as one of the most technical and proficient thrash bands - high level of complexity and musicianship.

Coroner is not among the most popular European bands but is among the best.

The Best metal band ever walked this earth

Making great albums in 5 different decades and still just a cult following in the US. Thundersteel was the first great speed metal album.

75 Testament Testament Testament is an American thrash metal band from Berkeley, California. Formed in 1983 under the name Legacy, the band consists of vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve DiGiorgio and drummer Gene Hoglan.

Killer debut album and kicked out great thrash metal through, the new order, practice what you preach and souls of black!
And let's face it their 2008 album formation of damnation is better than Metallica's 2008 death magnetic. It's a better interpretation of thrash metal.

One of my all time favorite bands listen to The Legacy or The New Order. - angrybone

These guys just get better with age, lol. definitely underrated and much better than the big 4 today.

Um... have you heard the gathering? The formation of damnation? The legacy and new order? This band is good.

An amazing norwegian Metal band that proves that norwegians can do more than paint their faces black and white and sing about satan.

78 Dir en Grey Dir en Grey DIR EN GREY is a Japanese metal band formed in 1997 and currently signed to Firewall Div., a sub-division of Free-Will.

Lyrically comparable to Tool. Vocally better than Mike Patton. Best live performances you will see. Versatile but still stays with the Metal and rock genre. Good List though. - tenthsage

I am not exaggerating when I say this band may have the best Metal singer of all time. He is more versatile than Mike Patton and heavier than most death metal singers (Even my favorite Mikael Akerfeldt or my second favorite Peter Tägtgren) They range from beautiful to crushing within a single song. Pretty much, if they sang in English they would be more popular.
