81 Dir en Grey Dir en Grey DIR EN GREY is a Japanese metal band formed in 1997 and currently signed to Firewall Div., a sub-division of Free-Will.

Lyrically comparable to Tool. Vocally better than Mike Patton. Best live performances you will see. Versatile but still stays with the Metal and rock genre. Good List though. - tenthsage

I am not exaggerating when I say this band may have the best Metal singer of all time. He is more versatile than Mike Patton and heavier than most death metal singers (Even my favorite Mikael Akerfeldt or my second favorite Peter Tägtgren) They range from beautiful to crushing within a single song. Pretty much, if they sang in English they would be more popular.

Best death metal band ever yet barely anyone knows them!

Piece of Time is a masterpiece.

96 Nazareth
97 Seventh Wonder Seventh Wonder Seventh Wonder is a progressive metal band from Stockholm, Sweden formed in 2000. They are currently working on their 5th studio album, which is planned for a 2017 release.

In my opinion, Seventh Wonder's Mercy Falls is THE best concept album ever. Literally, I mean literally, I cried because of the story. And I just about never cry. Ever. That's how powerful this is. Tommy (I'm a fan-boy) is an OUTSTANDING vocalist. Although, I'm not quite sure why he sings different in Kamelot, but in my opinion, SW's much better.

Technically flawless band. Tommy Karevik's vocals are awesome, and so's the guitar work, the drum work, everything. They're so underrated that it's sad.

98 Hammerfall Hammerfall HammerFall is a Swedish heavy metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band was formed in 1993 by ex-Ceremonial Oath guitarist Oscar Dronjak.
99 Anthrax Anthrax Anthrax is an American thrash metal band from New York City, formed in 1981 by guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker.

114? What? Everybody likes pretend they don't exist and tries to kick them out of the big 4 like 'WHY ISN'T TESTAMENT BIG 4! ' Bunch of ignoramuses. Anthrax kicks ass, second best band out of the big 4 in my opinion and is definitely underrated.

In my opinion, Anthrax is the best band out of the big four. Both with Belladonna and Bush.

Speaking of John Bush, Armored Saint is another highly underrated band that you should give a listen.

The most underrated band of all time! Even in this list Anthrax is underrated...

100 Fozzy Fozzy Fozzy is an American heavy metal band, formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1999 by lead singer Chris Jericho and guitarist Rich Ward.

These guys should be more known man! People need to know that Y2J isn't just a wrestler and recognise his voice. And the dukes guitar playing is just amazing. Listen to God pounds his nails and the solo is just magnificent!
