261 Diamond Head Diamond Head Diamond Head are an English heavy metal band formed in 1976 in Stourbridge, England. The band is recognised as one of the leading members of the new wave of British heavy metal and is acknowledged by thrash metal bands such as Metallica and Megadeth as an important early influence.

Black Sabbath is to Heavy Metal as Diamond Head is to Thrash. Diamond Head really doesn't get much credit at all, which is odd considering their old school feel, creativity, and influence.

264 Kiss Kiss Kiss is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in January 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and the band's original manager, Lew Linet.

If anything Kiss is overrated. - domfincrag

265 Traffic Traffic

Great band. Underrated songs aplenty: "No Time to Live," "Vagabond Virgin," "Shanghai Noodle Factory," all of Barleycorn, "Many a Mile to Freedom," "Hidden Treasure," "Evening Blue," "Walkin' in the Wind," and many others. Ridiculously under-appreciated--but there day will come again when fashions fade.

John Barleycorn Must die is amazing! One of my favorite bands of all time!

Traffic was similar to Genesis but Steve Winwood's vocals are great!

267 Mott the Hoople Mott the Hoople

Far and away #1 on this list - I have them as the SECOND greatest R(R Band of all time (to The Rolling Stones)!...those of and the few that know better have been getting off on this ICONICband (especially live) forever man...

268 Three Days Grace Three Days Grace Three Days Grace is a Canadian rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1997 with a line-up consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst.

How is Three Days Grace this low? Go listen to songs like Break, The Good life, Animal I have become, I hate Everything about you, Riot and so much more!

If it's high on the list it's not really underrated since a lot of people voted for it. That just proves how underrated three days grace rlly is because it's 304th on this list. What a shame. I love this band. - scourgeisdabest

269 Kings of Leon Kings of Leon

This is supposed to be an underrated bands list, so you actually need to have UNDERRATED bands. If Kings of Leon is so underrated that people forget to put it on this list, I don't know what music has turned into. - Songsta41

270 The Jam The Jam

Paul weller's songwriting is second none. Combined with foxton's bass riffs and some tight drumming no one can match the jam for energy or creativity. Very underrated in America.

271 The Cranberries The Cranberries The Cranberries are an Irish rock band who formed in Limerick in 1989. The band consists of lead singer Dolores O'Riordan, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan and drummer Fergal Lawler.
272 The Mars Volta
273 CKY

Great band. always overshadowed by the jackass/bam connection

274 Dr Feelgood
275 The Used

Formed in 2001 and collabed with My Chemical Romance yet My Chemical Romance gets all the attention while these guys are forgotten :/

276 Steely Dan Steely Dan

Maybe because they never performed live, or maybe because their notorious perfectionism drove other studio musicians crazy, but Walter Becker and Donald Fagin's jazzy rock was almost too good to be true, and deserved far more recognition.

277 Skyhill
278 Live Live Live is an American rock band from York, Pennsylvania, composed of Chad Taylor, Patrick Dahlheimer, Chad Gracey, and Chris Shinn. Live's original lead singer Ed Kowalczyk left the band in November 2009.
279 April Wine

I love april wine. They are in my opinion like one of the top 10 underrated. From "just between you and me", to songs like "Roller" and "I like to rock", they had some of the best kind of songs

280 Helloween Helloween Helloween is a German power metal band founded in 1984 in Hamburg, Northern Germany. The band is a pioneering force in the power metal genre, and their second and third studio albums, Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part I and Part II, are considered masterpieces of the genre.
