Dio is great. - Pony

102 Journey Journey Journey is an American rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1973, composed of former members of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch.

every single person in the world knows don't stop believin but journey is pretty unknown - thefrozenlemon

Don't stop believing is only 4 minutes you dumbass and why would you vote for it if you don't like their music?

Why the hell is Journey here? They've had multiple big hits including Don't Stop Believing, Faithfully, Seperate Ways, and Open Arms. - naFrovivuS

Journey stinks don't stop I can't shut up because this is 7 minute song. The only song I like is Open Arms in this band. I don't like this band becuase the songs are boring.

103 Queens of the Stone Age Queens of the Stone Age Queens of the Stone Age is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States, formed in 1996. The band's line-up includes founder Josh Homme, alongside longtime members Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and recent addition Jon Theodore.

One of the greatest rock bands of the 21st century, made of incredibly talented musicians. They had a few songs on the radio, but they deserve more. It saddens me to think that hundreds and thousands of people will never get to hear them because of crappy, plastic, commercial rock being shoved down their throats and pushing these guys out of the way. They swap genres constantly and make some of the greatest rock songs I have ever heard.

Queens of the stone age, by far the best the music industry has to offer currently besides the Foo Fighters and Eagles of Death Metal.

I'm just wondering how they're underrated on a list of underrated bands. these guys should at least be within the top 20.

So underrated they're underrated on a list for underrated bands.

How? HOW? WHY IS THIS BELOW 100?

Are they just a band that's too cool to be underrated and too cool to be loved?

104 Foreigner Foreigner Foreigner is a British-American hard rock band, originally formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran English musician Mick Jones and fellow Briton and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald along with American vocalist Lou Gramm.
105 Slayer Slayer ...read more.

People seem to be voting for and adding their favourite bands rather than what is actually underrated, something which Slayer certainly isn't!

Probably Slayer then Dreamtheater and Megadeth (even though they have sold about 40 million albums they arent too well known)

Unbelievably underrated. I can't believe A7X is on this list. They aren't too terribly underrated, they just have a lot of stupid people who listen to one song, see talent, and decide to hate on it.

Nothing to say, they are awesome

106 Neutral Milk Hotel

"In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" is one of the greatest albums of all time and certainly the most underrated. Take a listen people and just enjoy pure musical genius.

One album wonder (in fact they made 2 albums and 1 EP, however, only one is well known) but very influential for indie/alternative music world.

107 James Gang
108 Gentle Giant Gentle Giant Gentle Giant were a British progressive rock band active between 1970 and 1980. The band was known for the complexity and sophistication of its music and for the varied musical skills of its members.

Underrated even on the underrated list ;-;... It's a crime

109 Coroner Coroner Coroner is a Swiss thrash metal band from Z├╝rich, formed in the early 80s. They have been called "the Rush of thrash metal" for their increasingly complex style of progressive rock-infused thrash. They garnered relatively little attention outside Europe .
110 Fireflight
111 Chickenfoot

One of best supergroups that has formed in last 10 years
Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony from Van Halen, Chad Smith from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Joe Satriani made up an awesome hard rock band..

112 The Power Station
113 Celesty
114 The Animal In Me
115 Fever Tree
116 Faith No More Faith No More Faith No More is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1979. Before settling on their current moniker in 1983, the band performed under the names Sharp Young Men and later Faith No Man.

Wow 127th on this list they should be way way higher like in the top 25. They are the Rodney Dangerfield of music they just don't get any damn respect

Definitely the most underrated rock/metal band of the late 1980s-early 1990s

What a band! And almost no one knows it

117 The Sound

One of the best post punk bands. Underrated is an understatement. Best of the 80's nobody has heard. Shame, considering the others 80's crap people still listen to. They need to be heard even decades later!

This band needs it's recognition as one of the best 80's bands and be heard even if it's decades later. Be underrated No more!

One of the really great bands of the 80's most people never heard of, but should. They started before U2 and they should have be listened to just as much. So very overlooked and underrated.

Excellent Band of the 80's. Most underrated band of the 80's. R.I.P. Adrian Borland.

118 Wings

Wings was an amazing band. The entire album Band on the Run is a masterpiece. Paul and wings have a lot of great songs: Silly Love Songs, Juniors Farm, Sally G,Letting Go...

I think it is not given enough value because it is compared with the Beatles, and they are two totally different bands: /

They made the best rock/pop music of 70s and had many hit albums and singles and were a HUGE influence on pop music but unfortunately they are hardly ever played on radio and are only rarely remembered because of Paul McCartney (co-founder of the legendary Beatles)

119 Type O Negative Type O Negative Type O Negative was an American gothic/doom metal band formed in Brooklyn, New York City in 1989. Their lyrical emphasis on themes of romance, depression, and death resulted in the nickname "The Drab Four".

This band is definitely worth a listen. There is a certain mystical quality to their music; almost enchanting. Every album after and including Bloody Kisses is a masterpiece. A few songs I recommend: Black No. 1, Love You To Death, I Don't Wanna Be Me, Christian Woman, Green Man, Nettie, Creepy Green Light.

If you like the band after listening to those songs, try their albums. Bloody Kisses, October Rust, World Coming Down, and Life Is Killing Me are the greatest.

Emotional, humorous, and heavy. You won't be sorry.

Most original, musically talented, and underrated band of the past 20 years.

120 Saint Asonia Saint Asonia Saint Asonia is a Canadian rock band consisting of former Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier, Mike Mushok, Corey Lowery, and Rich Beddoe.
