Top Ten Most Underrated Singers

She has perhaps the most beautiful voice in the history of recorded music. But that's not even her biggest strength; it's not what she's good at.
What she's really good at is making people cry. There's never been another singer quite like her.

She has a beautiful voice, but how can her songs be on the "Best Songs of All Time" list when she doesn't sing their own songs! Accept it people, it's a COVER! COVER! She may be one of the best vocalists of our era, but she just takes people songs and gets all the acclaim!

She's not underrated in my opinion. She needed a talent show just to boost her to stardom, and she's all over the website. People are talking about her on every list, they say she's the greatest singer. How is that underrated...?

I think young people should be more supportive of Jackie. Even if her song selection is not quite your cup of tea, she is blazing a trail and creating opportunities for other young performers.

Nick has written and produced his own music, music with his brothers, and for other artists. He plays guitar, drums, piano, bass guitar, and I've heard he also plays the cello! He can do it all, and his voice is now matured, making him sound even better. He has a very good falsetto, and can even transfer over into theater! He can sing pop, rock, R^^B, I mean, just because he's a Jonas doesn't mean he isn't talented! He always plays live, and so do his brothers! He wrote a 7 piece score, even. Give the guy a chance, people, that's all I ask.

All I have to say is, you won't find a vocalist as diverse, as bizarre in style and dynamic vocally as Mike Patton. Excellent vocal chops combined with an off-the-walls weirdness. No album this guy is on is the same from a vocal standpoint. Something completely different each time. Best work is definitely on Faith No More's Angel Dust and Mr. Bungle's California.

The guy's got a six-octave vocal range. But it's a shame that Faith No More only had one big hit.

In my honest opinion, he's 22 times better than today's JB, Gaga, Taylor and everyone from 1 Direction

Outside of this site and Kazakhstan, I can agree that he is underrated. On this site, he's overrated instead thanks to his fanbases. He's popular in Kazakhstan for obvious reasons.

He's a versatile singer with 6 octaves, so credit should be given here. He still has a long road ahead of him, so time will tell about his success from here on out.

Not underrated and overrated. His falsetto is amazing.

Such an inspiring talent and personality, Christina was a rising light for the world, and is still bringing Joy to many. While she beautifully accompanied her own singing on a fine keyboard, maybe remixes with various accompanying ensembles - even choirs - could bring her to the attention of more listeners. She wouldn't be the first to have a big post-mortem hit!

I just voted for a random singer that I don't know to say that Jay Sean is so underrated that he was not included in this entire list. Just listen to one of his songs and then you'll know why he deserves to be in this list. I'd recommend Down by Jay Sean ft Lil Wayne. Thank me later.

She has such a beautiful voice and a lot of talent. Not a lot of people talk about her. I think she deserves some honorable mention. The song she sings have really good lyrics too.

Amy Lee is one of the best singers and favorite singers of many people,but how come she is underrated? Why all these irrelevant logic on this list?

She is so underrated yet so talented. She has got everything! She has great voice. She can sing anything from opera and broadway to rock and r&b. She is an amazing performer and she is incredible dancer. She is so likeable, hard working, down to earth, funny and goofy. She is also so so beautiful. Wish she would release more music. Don't understand why she has had to scrap so many albums in the past.

This is the first name I have seen on this list that I do feel may be underrated. I'm not familiar with KS Chithra, but the rest of your top five are all incredibly overrated. Jonas is the only one of your top five that plays an instrument, and just because he ditched his brothers doesn't mean he's all of a sudden a great artist. This is really a screwy list, and I think we need a definition of underrated here.

Her songs are so beautiful, emotional. Her voice is gentle when it comes to sing a sad or soft song, powerful in such songs like "Human". She's also beautiful with her nature looks, not showing off her body like other female celebrities, I'm not judging them.
She should be noticed more than she is now.

I've heard Christina and this is really a pretty reasonable choice. At least she's not someone like Evancho or Amy Lee who are voted in the top five on every list, then you turn around and call them underrated.

The only song I know by her is 'A thousand years' which is a shame as she should get more recognition

I get so frustrated that she is underrated. She's a powerhouse and her vocal range is beyond ordinary. I don't know why selena is so overrated when she can't even sing. Demi doesn't need any kind of auto tuning. She has the most empowering songs like warrior, skyscraper and stone cold etc. She is also working for mental health issues. Guys please for once listen to her music and you'll start loving her.

How come Selena is more popular then her she just looks beautiful and can't sing. When Demi sings however her lyrics actually mean something and her voice is incredible. She's such an inspiration and has had trouble in the past but managed to get through it.

As the only one of your top ten that truly does fit this category, I will vote for Garfunkel. Seriously though, the rest of your top ten is filled with people who have had maybe one or two hits at the most, yet are rated highly on a lot of these lists. That's overrated, folks, not underrated.

Really the only one of the top five I agree with, although overall this list looks better, it must have been shuffled. At least Underwood isn't listed as highly underrated, which was the biggest joke on any of these lists.

Watched their 1981 concert at Central Park on PBS last night, and it confirmed to me what an amazing voice Art Garfunkel has.

Ronnie James Dio is not underrated. Most metalheads recognize and appreciate his work and influence. He's a great singer nonetheless.
