He has a very tragic backstory, for those who don't know, I'll give a simple explanation, he was a holocaust survivor as a child and saw his mother killed in front of him, lot's of villains have interesting backstories.

One hint I'll give you, his name is Taka and then it was changed to Scar after he got the scar, the rest of the story, find it on the internet, it's very interesting and worthy of this list. (Just search up "a tale of two brothers lion king" and you'll find it, you don't have to buy the book, you can just read the story on wiki.)
