Movies That Should Come Back As A T.V. Series

The Top Ten
1 The Fifth Element

I think The Fifth Element is the movie I have seen the most... It is a perfect mixture of action and comedy, science-fiction, suspense and romance. Set in a not so far future, the eternal battle between good and evil is shown to us in an extravagant setting. Flying cars, aeroplanes that go at the speed of light, weird creatures and ugly aliens are only a few things that are present during this film. The story has never been seen before : Good has only one weapon to defeat evil; it is composed of four stones representing the four element (water, earth, fire and air) and a perfect creature.

2 Futuresport

Futuresport was a made-for-TV movie that was shown on the ABC television network back in October 1998.
It was the best TV movie I have ever seen and I hope it comes back as a series.

3 Supernova

The technological picture is well developed strikingly original and interestingly conveyed. Many underlying themes of what happens to humans in the presence of all kinds of environments (psychological, sociological, spatial and otherwise) are touched upon.

4 Demolition Man

Demolition Man is one of the funniest, most action-packed and most poignant social satires of at least the last 30 years. It's not necessarily the easiest film to appreciate, as it makes its points through extremely over-the-top "mindless" action and tongue-in-cheek, purposefully cheesy plot and dialogue, but it's well worth trying to acclimate oneself to the style if you're not an action or sci-fi fan, as the satire cuts deep. There are other films with somewhat similar aims, such as Total Recall (1990) and Starship Troopers (1997), which are perhaps just as good as Demolition Man, but they certainly can't top it, and they have aims other than the purely satirical.

5 The Shadow

I found THE SHADOW to be simply amazing. I thought that this movie was a work of art and was the classic definition of a sleeper film. When we were blessed with this great film, it did not get the recognition it deserved. I found this film to be full of great action sequences and witty-special effects.

6 Lock Up

Sly Stallone hit gold with this seriously under rated film. This is surely Stallone's best films with Cliffhanger and Demolitian Man following. There are superb performances from the main man and his supporting characters.
It would be much better television show than Prison Break!

7 Batman

I always loved Batman movies

8 Congo

Congo is a pretty thrilling and adventurous ride that pays homage to the Indiana Jones franchise. I liked how the writers portrayed each character as having their own agenda for reaching the Congo: whether it was Dr. Peter wanting to return Amy to her birthplace; Dr. Karen searching for her ex along with a diamond her sleazy boss desperately needs; or Mr. Homolka seeking some lost city.

9 Jurassic Park

It would be classic TV-show from classic movie

10 Galaxy Quest

"Galaxy Quest" is an excellent feel good comedy that's enjoyable for the entire family.
It would be very entertaining show

The Contenders
11 Judge Dredd

Firstly, I am not a reader of the Judge Dredd comic books, so I have nothing to compare Stallone's Judge Dredd to, but honestly, I loved this movie and cannot imagine any other actor playing this role. I've heard people say that Dredd should not remove his helmet, but that did not bother me one bit. The action in the movie ranks along side some of Stallone's best and the movie is entertaining from start to finish. I think that Rico is a good villain, played to perfection by Armand Assante and Diane Lane is superb as Judge Hershey...

12 Miss Congeniality
13 Heartbreakers

I can see this movie over and over and over again

14 Space Truckers

I have to say I really liked this movie. It seemed almost like something simpler... from another time - a story, romance, adventure, characters... and most of the money spent on acting talent rather than special effects (although considering this was presumably a low-budget effort, and I believe went straight to video, the effects are... well effective - they work and do their job in the story, even if they're a ways from breath-taking by modern standards). It held my attention from the opening until the final credits...

15 The Specialist

Almost every action movie with Stallone could have been a good material for TV show

16 The Proposal
17 Elvis Has Left the Building
18 Contact
19 I Dreamed of Africa

The TV series would show how to survive in Africa!

20 L.A. Confidential
21 Wrong Turn
22 Tamara
23 9 1/2 Weeks
24 Soldier
25 Overboard

One of the funniest comedies ever made
