Top 10 Movies, Video Games and TV Shows that Tried Way Too Hard to Be Edgy

You know the ones (also, THEY know exactly where you live and will slit your pathetic weakling wrists at first sight)
The Top Ten
1 Sonic.exe

And the award for "most cliched Creepypasta in history" goes to...

Thank God there is Darkest Struggles.

Isn't this a creepypasta?

Not even a real game

2 Shadow the Hedgehog

"YES, Sega; you will regret ever having CREATED me...YOU'RE going STRAIGHT to HELL! "

Voting for this was like taking candy from a baby, which is fine by me.

3 Transformers

Let's just hope Michael doesn't get his soulless, greedy mitts on He-Man or ESPECIALLY any of the Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network 1990s cartoon classics now

4 Man of Steel

Just TRY and unironically take this film seriously after seeing the Nostalgia Critic review of it; I dare you, I DOUBLE-dare you, mother- (disintegrates into dust ala Nick Fury at the end of Infinity War)

5 God of War III

This actually makes the first two games look like something that stereotypical emo teenage boys with unbearable blood fetishes WOULDN'T jack themselves off to

(Thankfully, GOW4 redeemed the series by making Kratos actually interesting)

Heck no, This didn't try to be edgy

6 Drawn Together Drawn Together is an American adult animated sitcom which ran on Comedy Central from October 27, 2004 to November 14, 2007. The series was created by Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein, and uses a sitcom format with a TV reality show setting.

"makes South Park look like Barney & Friends"

7 Five Nights at Freddy's 4

Yes, even compared to previous FNAF games, which really is QUITE an accomplishment

8 The Ren & Stimpy Show

Contrary to popular belief, nearly everything that's executed RIGHT about the Rocko series was executed (for the most part) horribly WRONG by this show ever since its very beginning; gross-out humor, pseudo-adult humor, satire, you name it (as for its Adult Party spinoff, I only VERY marginally would rather talk about THAT as opposed to the Holocaust)

If I ever DO watch the show again, it'll mostly just be for the historical novelty value of it and really nothing else

9 Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

If you want to talk about EXTREMELY awkward sequel tone shifts in video games, this would definitely be a REALLY good place to start. Picking RIGHT up where the adorably sweet and whimsical Sands Of Time left off, Warrior Within IMMEDIATELY sees the Prince in that ever-so-classic "stranded out at sea in a raging thunderstorm" opening cliche much more famously seen in the original God Of War (which, interestingly enough, came out only about a year later), mowing people down like bloody, gory grass with his weapons and being only THE most embarrassingly-uncharacteristically petulant, foul-mouthed, angst-loaded teenager he can possibly be (and, of course, also fighting a hot murderous chick in a bondage suit while he's at it); believe me, the game only gets EDGIER from there
(seriously underrated game though; perhaps the most fleshed-out overall of its trilogy)

10 Puella Magi Madoka Magica Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a 2011 Japanese anime television series produced by Shaft and Aniplex, directed by Akiyuki Shinbo, written by Gen Urobuchi, music by Yuki Kajiura, opening sang by ClariS, ending by Kalafina (sometimes by the seiyuus) and original characters by Ume Aoki.
The Contenders
11 Doki Doki Literature Club!

The memes aren't funny but cringe, too much fetish and lawd art of the Dokis, even DDLC ruined a song, you know what it is, here's a hint "A little bit of (Insert Name) in my Life"

12 Invader Zim
13 13 Reasons Why 13 Reasons Why is an American teen drama streaming television series developed for Netflix by Brian Yorkey, based on the 2007 novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. The series revolves around high school student Clay Jensen and the aftermath of high school student Hannah Baker's suicide. Before her death, she leaves behind a box of cassette tapes in which she details the reasons why she chose to end her life as well as the people she believes are responsible for her death. ...read more.
14 Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans
15 Undertale

More specifically the Genocide run, but Pacifist and Neutral DEFINITELY have their moments of this as well

16 Venom

The three songs that best describe this movie are as follows, and I QUOTE:

Crawling In My Skin (Linkin Park)

Bring Me To Life (Evanescence)

Down With The Sickness (Disturbed)

17 Neon Genesis Evangelion Neon Genesis Evangelion, commonly referred to as Evangelion or Eva, is a Japanese animated television series produced by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production, and directed by Hideaki Anno.
18 The End of Evangelion
19 Attack on Titan Attack on Titan, also known as Shingeki no Kyojin in Japanese, created by Hajime Isayama, is one of the most popular Japanese anime series to be released. It was first watched in Japan during 2013 and was dubbed in English to be watched in America in 2014. It is best known for its emotional moments, apocalyptic setting, and its dramatic story line, and action packed scenes.
20 Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Tries way too hard to be completely mature and appealing to adults but in reality comes off as even more childish than an Illumination Entertainment film.

21 Alice: Madness Returns
22 Super Smash Bros. Brawl
23 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
24 Metroid Fusion
25 Avengers: Infinity War

The ending. Need I say more?
