Top 10 Movies with the Most Harsh MPAA Rating
Suggested rating: rated PG-13 for science fiction violrnce and mild language
The most “adult” thing in this whole movie was one club scene, with NO nudity. WHY MPAA! WHY RATE THIS R!
There’s a HUGE (and I mean huge) misconception that there’s nudity in the shower scene. Now, while it’s obvious that the actress is in the nude, there is nothing explicit shown on-screen. There is little to no blood, and the violence is intense, but not shown. I can understand why this had an R rating in 1984, before PG-13 existed, because of it not fitting a PG rating, but it just shouldn’t be kept in the same league as something like Fight Club, with super intense violence and sexual themes. Psycho should definitely be rerated to PG-13.
Disagree. Psycho does have blood in it so maybe it should still have it's R rating.

While the PG-13 remake has some gruesome to watch scenes, this remake really has only one scene on the edge, which is the ending, but even this scene was in the PG-13 remake.

Because a movie about depression TOTALLY deserves a G rating.

No the godfather is bad, very violent, and has language
It also has blood and gore (eg. the decapitated horse head)
This is literally a movie about a gay couple (who do nothing but kiss once and stay in bed fully clothed) and it suddenly gets an R rating? Is our film rating system homophobic or something?
Suggestion:PG-13 for some vilonce rude humor strong language and Comic Action Violence
Should be PG-13 for sequences of intense action violence and brief strong language.
Now, this movie does have a sex scene. But without it, it easily could have been rated PG-13 for brief sequences of strong violence and brief strong language.
Suggested rating: PG-13. There’s nearly no nudity or violence, and very mild language.
