Top 10 Movies with the Most Harsh MPAA Rating
There's a HUGE (and I mean huge) misconception that there's nudity in the shower scene. Now, while it's obvious that the actress is in the nude, there is nothing explicit shown on-screen. There is little to no blood, and the violence is intense, but not shown. I can understand why this had an R rating in 1984, before PG-13 existed, because of it not fitting a PG rating, but it just shouldn't be kept in the same league as something like Fight Club, with super intense violence and sexual themes. Psycho should definitely be rerated to PG-13.
Suggested rating: rated PG-13 for some violent content and disturbing images
Suggested rating: rated PG-13 for some violent content, mild language and some mild sexual content
While the PG-13 remake has some gruesome to watch scenes, this remake really has only one scene on the edge, which is the ending, but even this scene was in the PG-13 remake.
Suggested rating: rated PG-13 for some disturbing images and some violent content
Suggested rating: rated PG-13 for some violent content, mild language and mature thematic elements
Suggested rating: rated PG-13 for some violent content and disturbing images
Suggested Rating: G. There's nothing scary.
Umm yea this is about right.
Suggested rating: rated PG-13 for western violence and mild language
I think the reason why it's PG is that it shows a person (I won't spoil who the person is in case no one has seen this movie before) going through the 5 stages of depression.
Suggested rating: rated PG-13 for a scene of drug abuse and some sexual innuendo
Why did Frozen get a PG rating because of a foot size joke?
Suggested Rating: PG-13 for frightening and intense sequences and for language.
This is literally a movie about a gay couple (who do nothing but kiss once and stay in bed fully clothed) and it suddenly gets an R rating? Is our film rating system homophobic or something?
Should be PG-13 for sequences of intense action violence and brief strong language.
