Movies with Misleading Trailers
It is not a fantasy movie, those elements were included as part of the kids' dreams.
The trailer really shouldn't have put so much focus on the live-action segments if said live-action segments only make up about LESS than half of the film. Still a pretty decent movie, though.
If the trailer was made better, I would have liked the movie more.
Even though this one was intentional.
The movie tried to lure in voyeurist viewers, and then exposed them on-screen. The trailer suggested a light hearted fantasy action flick with "hot chicks", but the movie is more psychological, dwelling on the emotional pain of the female characters who are sold to men. It has three parallel storylines: in the first one, a girl in an asylum is about to be lobotomized, being helpless to the men who judge her fate. The second one is symbolic, the asylum turns to a brothel, the lobotomy to being sold to a costumer. In the second storyline also has the protagonist and the ther women in captivity trying to get items needed to flee. The third storyline is the only containing fantasy and action elements. It is symbolic for getting the items, by featuring the women as heroines on a mission. Honestly, the trailer wasn't that misleading. Because it already showed that the movie was going to suck. And it did.
The plot of the film is recycled and it felt scribbled with crayons. Special effects and explosions looked great which was the best part. Anything else? Don't waste your time watching it.
