Top 10 Movies with the Most Unnecessary Love Stories
Movies with romantic subplots that added little to the narrative and really could've been edited out altogether.
We knew Tauriel wouldn't end up with Kili because he ended up dying in the book (which was ultimately kept for the movie). We knew she wouldn't end up with Legolas because he didn't mention her in the "Lord of the Rings" films.
Agreed it just felt so cliche and something that was only put in because they couldn't think of anything better for Tauriel to do.

Badbooo2, did you not see the full name of the list? This is not for "unnecessary movies" but "movies with unnecessary love stories". And this movie had one: all the Bruce/Natasha scenes could have been cut and not effected the plot in any way.
This movie is not unnecessary! It is made for a reason and it is a great film, not Home! Home is an unnecessary DreamWorks film! This film is way better than Home!

To be fair, this did lead to the real-life romance of Kate Capshaw (who played the love interest) and Steven Spielberg (the director).
