Top 10 Movies You Could Recite Completely

These are the films I have watched way too many times. The films which I could sit a recite the whole film while watching. Obviously, they're just that good!
The Top Ten
1 Spaceballs

There could not be a better film spoof of Star Wars than Spaceballs. Mel Brooks achieves more than he thought with this hilarious comedy. Spaceballs is by no means a simple imitation of Star Wars to cash in on its popularity. It's in a unique and glorious reality all its own, and Brooks shows his mastery of wit and timing throughout the film's entirety.

Just like Ghostbusters, this movie has more quotable lines than anything else on the list.

2 The Princess Bride

Perhaps the best-written, most endearing, and most romantically comedic film Mel Brooks ever made.

3 Kung Pow: Enter the Fist

A film which I think every single inane line from its script makes for Facebook-worthy posting. No one should miss this zany spoof of badly dubbed kung fu films.

4 Ghostbusters

The one and only Ghostbusters is perhaps the greatest unlikely superhero film ever from the 80s. Four would-be paranormal investigators, trying vainly to create a thriving business based on paranormal investigation and elimination, soon find they are the world's potential saviors.

We've been going about this all wrong. This Mr. Stay Puft's okay! He's a sailor, he's in New York. If we get this guy laid, we won't have any trouble!

5 Harry Nilsson's The Point

At least I used to be able to recite this whole film. My dad taped it off TV for me back in my grade school days, and I watched it so many times I actually wrote down the whole story on paper just to show myself I could. These days, it has finally been re-released on DVD, and I'm seeing how much I remember. But this is easily one of the top ten best children's television movies ever made.

6 Beetlejuice

Who knows where Tim Burton comes up with this stuff? And who cares? I'm just glad he did!

7 High Strung

A more obscure film from 1991, High Strung is like a film version of the stand-up comedy of Steve Oedekerk. Some may know Steve Oedekerk as the star of Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. This film is an acquired taste for some, but has some of the funniest moments in comedy I've ever seen.

8 Alice In Wonderland (1985)(TV Movie)

In a world where there are way too many Alice in Wonderland movies, this one has got to be the most uniquely entertaining. It's simply because of its unbelievable cast of characters, ranging from the most amazing to the most odd. Sammy Davis Jr. as the Caterpillar? Scott Baio as the Pig? Martha Raye? John Stamos? Red Buttons? Sherman Hemsley? The list goes on and on and gets more and more interesting. Plus, the musical numbers are unforgettable.

9 Walt Disney's Robin Hood

Everything about this film sticks with me for life. That infamous whistling theme tune it has, the sappy characters, and the corny voice actors - everything about it was memorable enough for me to remember pretty much all the lines.

10 Casablanca
The Contenders
11 Shaun of the Dead
12 Star Wars
13 Shrek
14 The Court Jester

Maybe not word for word, but most every scene in this film is quote-worthy and comedic gold, and can be recited by me no problem. No human being can claim the mantle that Danny Kaye can. Brilliant actor, singer, and dancer, and I'm pretty sure he delivered lines that weren't scripted. Danny Kaye simply delivers it. A true master of comedy in every style.

15 Galaxy Quest
16 Elvira: Mistress of the Dark
17 She's the Man
18 Heartbreakers
19 The Gods Must Be Crazy II
20 The Fifth Element
21 Wedding Crashers
22 Monsters, Inc.
23 The Goonies
24 Rambo: First Blood

I've read the book a few times and seen the movie about twenty times!

25 Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
