The Top Ten

1 A Clockwork Orange

Considering it was once rated X in the U.S, you've got problems if you show it to a child. - Elric-san

Why the heck would you show this to your kids, it's rated X - PeeledBanana

2 Requiem for a Dream
3 Salo

This movie is filthy. Don't watch it. You'll regret it. - OriginalVisionary

4 The Shining
5 The Wolf of Wall Street

It actually broke the record for most swears per minute in a feature-length movie! - PizzaGuy

6 Pulp Fiction
7 The Godfather

Meh, there's worse out there - jack2244

8 Fight Club
9 The Basketball Diaries
10 Saw

The Contenders

11 Dead Alive
12 Meet the Feebles
13 Scarface
14 Billy Madison

How? This movie is perfectly fine for most audiences. The worst that can happen is that some kids may be scared of the penguin costume. Apart from that, this is absolutely fine, even though one of my all time least favorite movies. It's also rated 6+ over here. - Martin_Canine

15 Bridge to Terabithia

Bridge to Terabithia is okay, I just wouldn't show it to younger kids...

Seen It, Hated It - BeatlesFan1964

16 The Exorcist

Adults have been traumatized by it. Imagine what it would do to children. - Elric-san

17 Bad Santa
18 A Serbian Film
19 Cannibal Holocaust
20 The Human Centipede
21 Howard the Duck
22 Pan's Labyrinth

Don't let the innocent setting of a 10-year-old girl who believes in fairies fool you, this movie isn't appropriate for kids at all. Do you want to let your kids see a 10-year-old get shot in the abdomen, a pale character who has his eyes on his hands, etc.? - jack2244

23 Bonnie and Clyde

Most '60s movies might be appropriate, but not all. 1967's Bonnie and Clyde starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway is the movie I'm targeting when I say that. Stanley Kubrick's 1962 film Lolita is adult but 1967's Bonnie and Clyde is probably the worst in terms of content. Sure, it's pretty tame by today's standards but it, as well as Stanley Kubrick's 1971 film A Clockwork Orange, got violence to be more appropriate in film - jack2244

25 The Last House on the Left (1972)
26 Team America: World Police
27 I Stand Alone
28 Black Swan
29 Planet Terror
