Top 10 Movies that You've Grown Out OfDarkMatter1997 I made a list of TV shows you've grown out of so now I'm gonna make a list of movies that people have probably grown out of as well.
And just like the other list, this list is entirely subjective. There's nothing wrong with not liking a movie anymore, and feel free to add whatever movie you want as long as you've grown out of it (and it can be a kids' film or an adults' film).
The Top Ten
More people are already starting to grow out of these films and hate them. They're nothing but boring action films with racist and sexist characters in them and they're all the same. It just goes to show that if makes money, why change it? - DarkMatter1997
Okay, the first movie was nice(mostly because it was a small part of my childhood) but the rest became so boring and repetitive. And don't even get me started with Transformers 4 - Myuuu
I used to be so obsessed with this movie mainly because of the scenery which is just awesome, but rewatching it now it's just pretentious and cliched. The story isn't anything new and since this is the highest grossing film of all time more studios are saying that they want more of this story. I'm all in for environmental films as long as you do something creative and new with them. - DarkMatter1997
The world building was awesome, but as I watched now and man...it doesn't make sense - Myuuu
Pretty much an example of mediocre, poorly made children's comedies we liked when we were young (the bottom four has these which are all good examples so I'm not gonna go into detail). - DarkMatter1997
One of my least favorite movies of Pixar, but I still watched a lot as a kid. But now...I don't feel like watching it - Myuuu
Definitely - SpectralOwl
I remember watching this several times when I was around 5-6 but as time went on I grew out of it. Looking back it’s mediocre and kinda boring at times - RandomatorV 1 Comment
I've honestly grown out of all the Star Wars films, but this one in particular made people stop liking Star Wars altogether. Sure this film looks a bit bigger and has some pretty good fight scenes but it gave us nothing but way too much story, boring/annoying characters, racist stereotypes and poop jokes. I don't know what Lucas what thinking at the time but he honestly should've thought twice before adding some of these awful and boring ideas into the film. - DarkMatter1997
I actually still watch this - darthvadern
Used to like it a lot, but now that I watch it it's just so pretentious and dated. Plus it's not the first time someone has thought of the idea that our world is all a dream or it's constructed (there's episodes of Star Trek and The Twilight Zone that have done that before). - DarkMatter1997
I used to think this was the funniest movie ever but now I think it's very overrated and overshadows a lot of funnier films. I don't necessarily think it's bad, it's just a little corny and dated. - DarkMatter1997
Hey, ya wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?
Dumb and Dumber's Script. - DapperPickle
I kind of liked this as a kid but rewatching it now it's just so nasty and cruel. Plus what kind of principal locks kids in a room filled with sharp glass and nails sticking out?! I honestly don't know what Danny DeVito was thinking when he directed this. - DarkMatter1997
I think the cruelness is kind of the point of the film.
This film was also a hint that DeVito has telekinesis in real life. - DapperPickle
I still like this movie - Myuuu
No, it was just horrendous looking from the start - SpectralOwl
I use to love this movie series, but now it's just Nah. - Art_Classical
Frankly I never liked this film even as a kid
I don't think a year is enough time to grow out of a movie. - DapperPickle
I still like this.
Um no, I don't see how you can grow out of an adult film - darthvadern
