Which PG-13 rated movies suffered the most because the producers of the movie toned down the language, violence, gore, sexuality, etc., enough to earn a more family friendly rating? Which movies would have been better if they had instead made them worthy of an R rating?
This film is the most violent (way more violent than Happy Tree Friends).
A majority of Earth's people died. It needed to have blood and less comedy.
This shouldn't be PG-13. As for Poltergeist (1982), The Ring (2002), Drag Me to Hell (2009), and Robocop (2014). And why isn't Split on this list? Definitely R.
There is a psychopath in the movie who kills people for fun. Sometimes it is disturbing.
Sometimes the impression is more than the actual vision.

Very disturbing movie. Too much, I believe, for a thirteen-year-old. It also delves into deeper and perhaps darker themes than outwardly supposed, such as eating disorders. If you don't believe me, just watch the movie and try to pick up on the hints. There are a lot.
There is literally a scene that resembles emetophilia. This should be R.

This movie is bloody and includes sequences of strong violence. This movie shouldn't even be PG-13 in the theatrical version.
I could see the dark shadow of Wolverine's private parts when he was nude in a bathtub.
This movie's a little intense for a PG-13 rating.
I can't believe it got a 12 from the BBFC. Needs to be 15. Some of the scenes can be a little disturbing for 12-14-year-olds.
This movie should be R because of a guy being shot in the head and a tank falling onto a construction worker, causing a strong explosion where I could even see the body parts.

So much violence. I thought the others were intense enough, but I've changed my mind after seeing this.
Should definitely be R/15 because the sex is VERY strong.
