Top 10 Best Magic: The Gathering Planeswalker Cards

The Top Ten
1 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

I like jace beleren and jace the mind scuptor because I love blue magic I like the way you can control a lot of stuff its really fun and its an awesome advantadge over your opponent and helps you win unless your opponent is really smart because magic requires a lot of tinking and extremely fun and addictive every one I know that I could get to try it loved it at the first 1-5 turns of there first game

Although it's a -12 ability, late in the game when you would get 12 loyalty counters, they probably won't have any cards in their hands to put on their library. Basically goes without saying, mill everything.

The planeswalker that fits with magic's nerdy aesthetic better than any other ever can

Hands down best planeswalker ever. Great in a control deck or in any deck!

2 Liliana of the Veil

Should be 2, behind JTMS. She's insane at only 3 mana. There's a reason she's worth 60 dollars!

3 Ajani Vengeant

Its ultimate is great! If your opponent has no lands how could you lose?

Destroys all opponents lands great card!

4 Elspeth, Knight-Errant

Just, she wins the game alone. Good in control, better in aggro, even better in midrange. Too powerful.

5 Garruk Wildspeaker
6 Karn Liberated

Number 7? Really? Sure, he might be 7 mana, but this card has got to be the best planeswalker I've ever seen. JTMS is not as great as people say it is, because he starts at pretty low loyalty and can easily get killed before you can use his -12

Has a +4 ability. The -3 ability is great to! If you use them enough before using ultimate you win easily!

Yes, he's seven mana. But boy is Karn Liberated powerful. Exiling is great and his -14 is a miracle.

Karn does the most things and is by far the scariest planeswalker in the Modern format

7 Koth of the Hammer

Surprisingly unknown, but the last ability is great.

8 Sorin Markov

Yes, he's three black. But Sorin Markov is a balancer. His ultimate is good, I like his +2 lifelink, and his -3 is good as an ultimate.

Although a six mana planeswalker, it's abilities make it well worth it.

If you can get him out, man oh man is he superb!

Sorin is amazing.

9 Gideon Jura

Sorry, but I think Gideon champion of justice is better!

10 Jace, Memory Adept

Just keep using its 0 ability to mill your opponents cards and you have a great chance of winning the game. If you run a mono blue mill deck I recommend you get 3 to 4 of this jace. It's about $6.

The ultimate mil card

The Contenders
11 Nissa, Worldwaker

Nissa, Worldwaker is a great planeswalker. Surprisingly not in top ten.

4/4 trample and a lot of it! Not to mention it helps with mana ramp

12 Chandra, Pyromaster

This is the most underrated planeswalker ever! It's 0 ability is killer because you get an extra card. I always hope it's a land so I can play something in my hand that costs one more mana. Not only that, this planeswalker just costs 4 mana to bring out and starts with 4 loyalty counters. I run 4 of her in my red burn deck.

What? This is at number 14? This deserves a spot in the top 5!

13 Elspeth, Sun's Champion

She is very good. I beat my dad 3 times with her I have Elspeth suns champion

Mono-white soldiers with Elspeth as the game ender

Clearly one of the best walkers

Awesome in a token deck!

14 Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas
15 Gideon, Champion of Justice

Why is this planeswalker so hated? His 0 ability makes him an indestructible creature with toughness and power equal to the number of loyalty counters on him. You can do tons of damage with this.

16 Liliana Vess

If your opponent discards a lot of creatures into the graveyard, then you can just take them and win easy.

17 Domri Rade
18 Chandra Nalaar
19 Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver

Well, he has a +2, which is alright on its own. I mean, +1 is just so slow to accelerate. Then it turns out, his +2 is mill three but without allowing for zombies (Which is really underrated). His -10 is basically screw your opponents hands and graveyards (not to mention you're still taking out of their decks) and then he has a -x just in case you were wondering. Which lets you play whatever you have exiled as a nightmare in addition to its other types. Have some excess loyalty? Why not exile your graveyard and play those cards for 0 mana. Hard as it sounds to do that, it's easy with mycosynth lattice and vorrel.

20 Sarkhan Vol

Duh his ability summons 5 4/4 dragon token's with flying! If you have hellraiser goblin you will win

21 Ajani Goldmane

Pretty great -8 ability. I play my brother and he has this card and when he gets it out it's pret much game over. However I've won even when he's done his -8 so it's not undefeatable. Great +1 abilities too!

He is good if your running an Sorin grim nemesis deck

22 Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker

I play against a guy that has at least over 10K cards and won many a tournament, and he says if someone pulls out Nicol Bolas they pretty much have won. Cost is high, but all 3 of his abilities make it worth it

In Grixis this guy is amazing. He blows up something as a PLUS THREE, his steal's amazing, and his boardwipe's a dream.

Costs much but is so worth it!

23 Garruk Relentless

A 2 sided planeswalker what could be cooler than that!

Two sided + great in a green deck= I want one!

24 Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded

The cheapest planeswalker so far. Its ultimate is a great game finisher.

25 Chandra Ablaze

Its first and second ability are in great harmony with the ultimate.
