By H.R. Giger - Hans Ruedi Giger (1940-2014) was a Swiss surrealist painter and sculptor known for his dark, often alien-inspired, disturbing and erotic "biomechanical" images. He was part of the special effects team that won an Academy Award for design work on the film Alien.
Fun fact: one of the Celtic Frost band members was so inspired that he later became Giger's part time assistant.
