Top 10 Music Album Covers Where It's Hard to Understand What's Depicted on Them

The Top Ten
1 White Light / White Heat - The Velvet Underground

I learned it was a skull tattoo with the word "Death" under it but it can only be seen under black light or when closely examined at an angle. The tattoo belonged to Joe Spencer, star of the 1967 Warhol film "Bike Boy."

The skull tattoo is a hidden element but this album cover actually has 2 hidden elements.

2 Abacab - Genesis
3 Meddle - Pink Floyd
4 Tommy - The Who

I already know what's on it because I've read about it but before that it looked like a blueberry pie to me. No offense or disrespect though.

5 Re-Load - Metallica

I know because I'm a Metallica fan. But my first guess wasn't correct...

6 Bridge of Sighs - Robin Trower

Let me try: a toilet bowl... or a stylized finger...or something with 2 holes... or most probably something else, haha

I'm not exactly sure what it is... but it looks cool!

7 Odelay - Beck

And the correct answer is... Komondor. It's a dog breed - they look like mops which makes them cute and funny.

8 Aenima - Tool
9 Omnivium - Obscura
10 DS2 - Future

I used to think these were intestines with blood until last week when Martin_Canine told me it was smoke.

The Contenders
11 Lateralus - Tool
12 Focus - Cynic
13 Indie Cindy - Pixies
14 Hysteria - Def Leppard

Deliberately distorted and vague, it's my favourite album and album cover but...yeah, I still have very little idea.

15 AM - Arctic Monkeys
16 Head Carrier - Pixies

Too me, it kinda looks like a close up of the deformed baby from Eraserhead. But I could be wrong.

17 The Head on the Door - The Cure
