Best Music Artists for a Pop Hall of Fame

Considering that there is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I felt as if a similar vein could be applied to Pop Music.

This is a list about not just the best Pop Music has to offer, but its also about the influence and legacy that these artists have presented. Hence, a "Hall of Fame".

The Top Ten

1 Michael Jackson Michael Jackson Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, dancer, and songwriter born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana and passed away on June 25, 2009. He donated (at least) a remarkable 500,000,000 dollars to charity. Michael is also known as The King of Pop (a title given to him by Elizabeth Taylor) or under more.

I mean, his title is "King of Pop". It is to be expected. In all fairness, Michael has remained one of Pop Music's most seminal and influential music artists, in spite of his many controversies. - CrimsonShark

One of the best, word - jeffreyhoward

2 Whitney Houston Whitney Houston Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was an American singer, actress, producer, and model. In 2009, Guinness World Records cited her as the most awarded female act of all time. Houston is one of pop music's best-selling music artists of all-time, with an estimated 170–200 more.

Like MJ, she has her own moniker; "The Queen of Pop" and its easy to see why she deserves it. She has one of the most powerful voices out of any female music artists I can think of. - CrimsonShark

Isn't Madonna the Queen of Pop and not Whitney? - TheFourthWorld

One of the greatest voices in pop ever. R.I.P. - Metal_Treasure

3 Madonna Madonna Madonna Louise Ciccone is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. She influenced a lot of singers such as: Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles and Britney Spears . She is known as Queen of Pop and at modern pop culture specifically in 2012 "Madge" or MDNA . She has more.

Back when she was in her peaks during the 80s-90s, Madonna was easily one music artist to be renowned. Although her reputation in the present isn't as good, you can't really deny her energy back then and the influence she has on Pop Music these days. - CrimsonShark

I am pretty sure she’s considered the queen of pop as opposed to Whitney. - DCfnaf

I think Prince had better singing skills and a better voice than Michael Jackson but Michael was more entertaining because of his dancing. - Metal_Treasure

Prince and MJ were formidable rivals. Despite MJ's superior stage persona and singing, Prince is no slouch either and excels in instrumentals for an alternative. One of Pop's greatest instrumentalists. - CrimsonShark

He is so good. Undeniably talented. - DCfnaf

Hard to say; he only had a handful of albums that could really be construed as pop (Young Americans, Let's Dance, Tonight, and maybe Hunky Dory or Ziggy Stardust). His "best" work (Station to Station, Low, "Heroes", Lodger, Scary Monsters, ★, etc.) certainly wasn't. I guess he did drive a number of pop music trends, which probably justifies his inclusion. - PetSounds
