Music Artists Hated for Absurd Reasons

The Top Ten Music Artists Hated for Absurd Reasons

1 Nickelback Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, Canada. The band is composed of guitarist and lead vocalist Chad Kroeger, guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger, and drummer Daniel Adair.

I'm surprised this isn't number one, there is no reasonable reason to hate this band, the singer can be understood with what he is singing, they don't sing about stuff like have sex with multiple women, partying every day, or how cool murdering people is. They don't use controversy to sell albums and they can even make jokes about their haters which is pretty darn cool - germshep24

Never said it made them better, just that it is a reason to hate a band which is relatively reasonable. A band could be awesome and you can't understand a word of what their saying, there are plenty Opeth songs I love that I can't understand any of the words to - germshep24

About being ''generic'': A7X have a ripped off element in almost every song but I never noticed an obvious rip off in Nickelback songs. From my viewpoint, A7X are 100x more generic than Nickelback but A7X are in the top 10 of many good metal lists. And A7X aren't even metal. What I said about A7X is true for the band Ghost as well. - Metal_Treasure

I was surprised they were that good when I first had a look at their music. - Alkadikce

Wasn't aware being a God awful excuse for a "rock" band was an absurd reason?

2 Cannibal Corpse Cannibal Corpse is a American death metal band from Buffalo, New York, formed in 1988. The band is known for their graphic album covers, explicitly violent lyrics and song titles like "I C** Blood" The group got into mainstream after performing the song "Hammer Smashed Face" in the 1994 film Ace Ventura: more.

Honestly think the hate is justified, cannibal corpse is for a very select fan of extreme metal. The band has good instrumentalists, but the band image and album art is an obvious ploy for controversy and the lead singers pig squealing sound is going to be a turn off. These are all reasonable reason to hate a band most just wont understand it.
Whether that hate is fair is another story - germshep24

I am not a hater (I am neutral about them), but I think the reasons of hate are pretty reasonable. If people complain about rapping about sex and drugs (they should! ), it is natural that they will complain about growling about you-know-what as well.

I might add that a very important part of this band's image and atmosphere is the haterbase. If people weren't shocked by their album covers and music, it wouldn't be that interesting to listen to them. - Alkadikce

This is a great explanation of the hate from a person with a great understanding of the band and their image - germshep24

People who hate Cannibal Corpse are mostly people who hate metal in general, or who hate extreme metal (harsh vocals, death growls). I was never a fan of theirs but the reasons haters use are laughable - for example, "vocals / growls are disgusting and scary". Look, they are meant to be scary and disgusting. And George CF growls are great from this viewpoint. Most haters just don't like extreme metal which is OK. But don't try to criticize things from a pop viewpoint and don't criticize things you don't understand and know nothing about. - Metal_Treasure

I have to admit that they are talented, even I'm not a fan of Cannibal Corpse at all. The only thing I hate about them are the disgusting lyrics and the vocalist. - Userguy44

That was the reasons I could see them being hated justifiable, not many people can stand screaming in music, personally I don't hate them, they are kind of a caricature of what people that don't listen to metal perceive metal is which I find amusing, graphic creepy or disgusting images, screaming/growling, songs about violence, which I can also understand as to why metal fans could hate them for playing on that caricature, then you have the fans of Cannibal Corpse that seem to purposefully say their most obnoxious sounding songs are Cannibal corpses best songs - germshep24

3 AC/DC AC/DC are a Australian hard rock band, formed in November 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who continued as members until Malcolm's illness and departure in 2014 . They were fronted by Bon Scott until his untimely death due to alcohol poisoning in 1979, after which they hired Brian Johnson more.

I understand the hate and don't like the myself really, all the reasons for their hate aren't the best but are very valid. But probably should amount more to 'not liking' them and not hating them. - xEliHbkx

What I do love about this list is for at least the top 12 artists every single one is artists most people loved at some point in time or at least thought of were descent at one point, with the exception of Cannibal Corpse for obvious reasons - germshep24

I don't really think they're hated though. And I don't see any real reasons to hate them. - RobertWisdom

Yet another band that isn't hated. - RobertWisdom

4 Blaze Bayley Blaze Bayley is an English singer, musician, songwriter, and lyricist. He was the lead singer of Wolfsbane from 1984 to 1994, and currently from 2010 following reunions in 2007 and 2009. Bayley was also the lead singer for Iron Maiden from 1994 to 1999. Since then, he has embarked on a solo career.

While I agree Blaze's voice didn't fit their classics like Hallowed Be Thy Name, he did a good job singing Paul's songs and his voice really fits the music on the two albums with him. I highly prefer the studio version of Sign of the Cross and The Clansman to the live versions with Bruce. I would be interested how he would sing The Nomad.

Someone on the net wisely pointed out that it was a good decision that they didn't hire a singer similar to Bruce. Otherwise they would have brought people into the belief that the new singer is trying to be Bruce but can't. I am really getting tired of Virtual XI and The X Factor opening reverse-order rankings of Iron Maiden albums, I like both of them better than some of their 1980s albums. I feel the same about post-Waters Pink Floyd, Exodus with Steve Zetro Souza, Judas Priest with Ripper Owens - Alkadikce

Nicely said, Blaze Bayley isn't Bruce, but even though his two albums aren't the best albums he still added some classics in those two albums though and he should get some respect for that - germshep24

(I know it's my second comment on this item but I couldn't stand not writing it)

The repetition ruined his reputation. - Alkadikce

5 Queen Queen are an English rock band formed in 1970. Members were Freddie Mercury (Vocals and Piano), Brian May (Guitar, Vocals), Roger Taylor (Drums, Vocals), and John Deacon (Bass Guitar, Vocals). Before forming into Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor had played together in a band named Smile. Freddie Mercury more.

The band who created Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You cannot be hated

Queen are hated mainly by the fans of Led Zeppelin and the Beatles because Queen is the only band that can compete with them for the honor to be the best rock band. Plain and simple. So Queen get hated for being too good. Which is the most absurd reason on this list. But Queen haters use the argument of Queen being "overplayed" just to say something and justify their hate. As if Led Zeppelin and the Beatles aren't "overplayed" and "overpraised"... - Metal_Treasure

If that is the reason then fans of Led Zeppelin and the Beatles are very ignorant about good and popular rock bands, because Queen isn't their only competition unless your talking about rock band that are pretentious (note that there isn't anything wrong with a band being pretentious). Rolling Stones also have a equal say in it, in fact Rolling Stone and the Beetles were in competition when their music was still relevant - germshep24

I honestly think that there is some big confusion on this site about the word hate and dislike. They seem to be interchangeable on this site.
You can dislike a band or not listen to a band without having to hate a band - germshep24

There are critics saying they're Mediocre. But audiences love them so much - LightningStrike

6 Slipknot Slipknot is an American Alternative/ Nu Metal band formed in 1995 from Iowa. The band is best known as one of the pioneers of the New Wave of American Alternative Metal during the late 1990s - 2000s and are distinguishable by the band's clothing choices, consisting of black/red jumpsuits and horror more.

I would say that they are very much a metal band, most hate because they are an innovative metal bands that use a lot of non metal sounds with their music but that is what makes the band respectable they are doing what every other metal band is doing.
You can love or hate their music but you have to respect them for their inventiveness and unique style - germshep24

I don't hate them. I only hate seeing them in the top 10 of almost all metal lists with their non-metal songs/albums, etc. Same for Disturbed, System of a Down, Linkin Park, Korn, and the like. If you are a grunge fan, you would hate seeing Metallica at #1 on every grunge list, right? At the same time you may like Metallica. - Metal_Treasure

Can't agree with you more, Slipknot is a good band but do the deserve to be considered a top 10 metal band most likely not - germshep24

I mean i’m not the biggest fan of Slipknot, but they’re not that bad. - RadioHead03

7 Metallica Metallica is an American Thrash Metal band formed in 1981 . The original lineup was James Hetfield (Vocalist and Rhythm guitarist), Dave Mustaine (Lead Guitar), Lars Ulrich (Drums), Ron McGovney (Bassist). The group came into mainstream from their Self-Titled album and the hit single "Enter Sandman". more.

There is a reasonable hate for Metallica, how the band treated Dave Mustaine was pretty horrible, but because of how they treated him we now have two of the greatest Thrash metal bands.
But those that hate them because of their change to a more rock sound before going back to their roots aren't a good reason - germshep24

Fair enough, I just know that the Dave mustaine thing is the main reason that Megadeth fans hate the band and there are stories that make it out to sound like Dave Mustaine was treated wrong: like that Metallica had stole some of his songs and wouldn't give him credit those kinds of things. The stories like to twist it like it was Metallica faults that Dave Mustaine was kicked out, especially at the time when Dave Mustaine left - germshep24

Their post-1980s output is ridiculously overhated. It is OK that you think it's not as good as the first four albums, and it really isn't thrash for the most part, but they don't realise how many people did these "sellout" songs like Enter Sandman help to get into metal.

I actually find it harder to find a Metallica fan than a hater. Then there are those people who only like their first 2 (2, not 4) albums because "they weren't popular then". - Alkadikce

If you make very complex music sometimes it is nice to make a more simpler song or album, fans get very protective of their favorite bands and they get really hurt when they try something different and take it as a personal attack this is when the none true fans start saying their supposed favorite band is a "sell out", they forget that it is the bands music at the end of the day not theirs - germshep24

Not a hated band. There are a lot of artists on this list that shouldn't be on the list. Either they aren't even really hated or the reason they are hated is actually legitimate. - RobertWisdom

So just because they have a lot of love doesn't mean there also isn't a lot of hate toward them - germshep24

Some people even said Metallica sucks after Master of Puppets. - Userguy44

This one is sad because...and Justice for All is my personal favorite album and the album is no different than their last three album, It is the Black Album when they decided to experiment - germshep24

8 Chad Kroeger Chad Robert Kroeger is a Canadian musician and producer, best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Canadian rock band, Nickelback.

Yes, I agree the reason he gets hated is because he's the frontman of Nickelback. The BS logic of bandwagoning: if Nickelback are the worst band ever (which they aren't though) then their singer is the worst singer, too. Why is this wrong? His vocal skills are pretty good - he's never off-pitch even live, his range is bigger than that of some praised singers, his voice is very powerful and aggressive, and overall great for singing metal and hard rock. - Metal_Treasure

He is a pretty good singer. - Userguy44

If you listen closely, he’s actually very talented. - RadioHead03

9 Linkin Park Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. The members currently include Mike Shinoda (vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Brad Delson (guitar), Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bass), Joe Hahn (DJ) and Rob Bourdon (drums). Linkin Park are associated with a mixture of Alternative more.

Ah yes, one of the most memorable rock bands of the 2000's is hated just for changing their sound a bit, makes sense

I think it is because of other bands with more 'legendary' pieces of music that are superior to a lot of songs by this band. They may not be as known. My reason would be because they do not make more songs to entertain me.

This band isn't hated. - RobertWisdom

I don't need to listen to more music, I'm not a music major like you apparently are, I listen to music to enjoy it not over-analysis it and place them into various sub-genre, if you like to call a band alternative rock cool, but don't get mad at me because I don't, It isn't an attack on you or what you call alternative rock and calling say Kamelot Power metal doesn't automatically mean that it isn't music just because the person doesn't call it symphonic metal it is still music whether under power or symphonic - germshep24

10 Red Hot Chili Peppers The Red Hot Chili Peppers is an American funk-rock and alternative rock band, that was founded in 1983. more.

Honestly The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a really enjoyable, and fun band. I think it would be very hard to hate this band. - RadioHead03

What are they hated for? Oh wait because John Frusciante left and Faith No More fans seem to hate them. - Userguy44

I don't know why they are hated but if you mention Red Hot Chili Peppers in a forum you will get some angry and sarcastic responses about how much they suck - Alkadikce

Mike Patton told me to hate them so I will re >:0 - xEliHbkx

The Newcomers

? Avril Lavigne Avril Ramona Lavigne is a Canadian–French singer-songwriter and actress. By the age of 15, she had appeared on stage with Shania Twain; by 16, she had signed a two-album recording contract with Arista Records worth more than $2 million.

She is only hated for being in association with Chad Kroeger.

The Contenders

11 Tim Ripper Owens Timothy S. "Ripper" Owens is an American heavy metal singer who currently performs with Beyond Fear, Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force and Charred Walls of the Damned.

He is the Blaze Bayley of Judas Priest - the only difference is that Tim Ripper Owens is a much better singer than Blaze and even though Tim isn't Rob Halford, Tim vocal skills are pretty close to Rob's (which can't be said about Blaze and Bruce). Another reason is that most of the Judas Priest fans are actually fans of their hard rock songs and not of their metal songs. Give a listen to the song Cathedral Spires - Tim is a great singer in his own right and the song is one of my favorite metal songs by Judas Priest (note that the song is longer than their usual songs). All this makes Tim even more absurdly hated than Blaze. - Metal_Treasure

The worst thing about all the Ripper & Blaze hate is that those songs by those bands with those singers weren't written by the new singers (mainly Steve Harris and Glenn Tipton). - Alkadikce

He is hated? - Userguy44

12 Motley Crue Mötley Crüe was an American metal band formed in Los Angeles, California on January 17, 1981. The group was founded by bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee, lead vocalist Vince Neil and lead guitarist Mick Mars.
13 John Lennon John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE was an English singer and songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as a co-founder of the Beatles, the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music. He was assassinated by Mark David Chapman on December 8, 1980 at age 40.

Hated by some for making an observation at the time that The Beatles were more popular in the mainstream than Jesus due to ridiculous fanatical celebrity worship. - Billyv

Hated because he beat his wife and being hypocritical for making Imagine. - Userguy44

What's hypocritical about Imagine? It's a song about the hope and dream for something better for humanity and the world. John wasn't happy about his own flaws, shortcomings and mistakes, nor was he presenting himself as perfect or even praising or admiring himself with the song. - Billyv

14 KISS Kiss is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in January 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and the band's original manager, Lew Linet.

They may be.. but KISS actually has a very passionate, loyal fanbase. It may not be our kind of band, but if there are many others out there who enjoy them, great! - ParasN2000

Most people find them painfully generic. - Userguy44

15 Rebecca Black Rebecca Black is a YouTube personality and singer who's infamous for her single "Friday," which was once the most disliked video on YouTube. She has also released other songs, including "My Moment" and "Saturday".

Most definitely she is a pretty talented singer, but she will forever be remembered for her terrible singing in that one song or rather mostly auto-tuned song, she made a mistake that pretty much any teen could make wanting to become popular - germshep24

Yeah I don't think she is hated anymore either the popularity of that song had died out and she has put out so much better stuff since - germshep24

In the top ten of the worst music artists of all time for only one song. I have even heard she received death threats for it. Really this is ridiculous and also she has better songs anyway.

People only hate her because she did the Friday song. - RadioHead03

16 The Beatles The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The members consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were soon known as the foremost and most influential act of rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat, and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented more.

These guys are only semi hated for having the most album sales ever, aside from that they are worshipped by many

Theseguys aren't even hated. They're generally worshipped. - RobertWisdom

Which is why they are hated, they are the originators of all the terrible trends that everyone hates in today's music outside of mumble rap: the annoying catchy repetitive line, the generic sound you get in most pop music, their most popular for they most annoying songs not their actual good songs - germshep24

17 Limp Bizkit Limp Bizkit is an American nu metal band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 1994. Their lineup consists of Fred Durst, Sam Rivers, John Otto, and Wes Borland.

I'll be honest. Their music is good, but Fred Durst isn't just good. They would be better if they had a better singer. - Userguy44

It is their style of music you hate then, Behind Blue Eyes I would say is an underrated song, the singing isn't amazing but it is done pretty good especially considering it is coming from someone no one thought could sing - germshep24

18 Justin Bieber Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada and is Christian. He is the son of author Pattie Mallette. more.

The only reason he was really hated was because he started young in the most generic genre and since he was young every time he did something stupid people started to jump on it as a reason to actually hate him.
He is no different than any other average artist out there, I also think it was fun for people to make fun of his fans because of how stupid the fan name sounded - germshep24

He spits on people, tries to start fights with people (who will probably kick his ass), childish antics like throwing eggs at his neighbors homes, racist jokes, driving really fast like a complete tool with music blasted at all hours of the night, abandoned his pet monkey. Actually he just did something today, 4/1/2019 that pissed a lot of people off. He used Puffy Combs tribute to his late wife to promote his new Bieber clothing line. Disrespectful! How are those for reasons to hate this obnoxious tool? - RobertWisdom

He can be a douche at times, but putting him in a tier with Pol Pot or Hitler is above the line. Hating on him has gotten old. - yungstirjoey666

I don't like him either but some haters say he's terrible because he sounds like a girl. That's not a proper reason, Jamiroquai's singer also sounds a bit like a girl. - Alkadikce

Haters who say he sounds like a girl need some update: he sounded like a girl when he was 14 - that was his pre-puberty voice. But that was 10 years ago. Also, what about Michael Jackson's mature voice? - Metal_Treasure

So what's the absurd reason he's hated? - RobertWisdom

19 Carly Rae Jepsen Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer and songwriter from Mission, British Columbia, and later based in Vancouver. She is best known for her hit song "Call Me Maybe" which topped many charts in 2012.

There are not only one hit wonders, there are also one hit scapegoats (or whatever negative word you think of instead of wonder). - Alkadikce

Call Me Maybe and Good time weren’t very good, but she has other songs. - I80

Call Me Maybe is just mediocre and not as bad as people said. - Userguy44

It's actually an overplayed extremely annoying song. She can't sing and isn't talented at all. However, one dreadful song and then disappearing afterwards is not enough to be hated. If she was still relevant then the reasons I stated above are legit reasons for hating her. - RobertWisdom

I'm not sure she is a one hit wonder, she is a Canadian Idol contestant placed 3rd, she just had one really catchy song that blew up, but her other album didn't do badly just wasn't big in the U.S., and if you listen to her other songs you'll find she is an ok singer as well, if you don't think so go on YT and listen to No Drug Like Me.
But then again not many one hit wonders are literal one hit wonders, they usually have a huge following outside of the U.S. you know like Hanson - germshep24

20 Anal C*** Anal C*** was an American grindcore band founded by vocalist Seth Putnam in 1988 in Newton, Massachusetts. The band is known for their highly offensive lyrics which included themes of misogyny, homophobia, racism, Nazism, antisemitism, and schadenfreude (ridicule of the unfortunate). Their music has more.

They want to be hated, so you guys are just helping them accomplish their mission. - XxembermasterxX

It's easily a band to forget about. Like Lil Meerkat and Submarine Man, we just can live on without paying attention too them. They will be dead horses soon enough. - Userguy44

Nah they totally do lol. Who would add this? They're one of the most offensive bands, even if it may be all jokes - xEliHbkx

I'm not familiar with this band but it's very clear why they're hated, if they're hated and it's legit. - RobertWisdom

Their pretty much a novelty band, not much more you need to know about them, but that their pretty much the band version of edge culture - germshep24

21 Taylor Swift Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. more.

The only real reason I can think of to hate her is because the money she got from switching from a country music star to a pop star has gone to her head and makes her do some obnoxious thing - germshep24

She sucks. Her music is all about breakups. Can't really sing. And makes music with the comprehension level of an 8 year old. Legitimate reasons for hate. - RobertWisdom

That's why I added her to the list, because it's a strange reason on its own that all of her songs are about the same topic. Almost all Slayer songs are about the same topic as well. But otherwise I agree she deserves some hate, just not for this reason. - Alkadikce

Worst singer ever. I just hate her voice. I hate country.

Just wanted to clear that up. - Luckys

Has a country star she is loved, it was the transition to pop which causes her hate, but her transition did make her a ton more money and that money has gotten to here head making her do mean things just because she is rich and can - germshep24

22 Ariana Grande Ariana Grande-Butera, known professionally as Ariana Grande, is an American singer and actress. She was born on June 26th 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida to Joan Grande and Edward Butera. She is best known for her role as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious and its spin-off show Sam & Cat. more.

The one thing I love about pop artist is just how much people think that their terrible singers, when your singing extremely generic songs the artist singing ability is not showcased remember generic songs aren't about vocals, just a catchy tune and beat - germshep24

I can understand why she gets so much hate. She's overplayed and that 7 Rings song that I just heard for the first time today, 3/31/2019 is absolutely terrible! But still, she's not really a bad singer. Her music for the most part is ok. I ncan't find any real reasons to hate her. - RobertWisdom

23 Antonio Salieri
24 Nicki Minaj Onika Tanya Maraj, known professionally as Nicki Minaj (born December 8, 1982) is a Trinidadian/American rapper / pop music artist. Minaj is most known for her songs such as "Anaconda", "Super Bass", "Starships" and her feature on "Bang Bang". more.

She has some decent songs like Super Bass, but she mostly deserves the hate for Stupid Ho, Anaconda, I Endorse These Strippers, Beez in The Trap, etc. - XxembermasterxX

Kinda deserves the hate. - Userguy44

What's the absurd reason she's hated? - RobertWisdom

Of course because scandals and controversies would be grounds that they didn't belong on the list, hence it being for absurd reason and any music thing would be an absurd reason outside of stealing other artists music - germshep24

25 Blood on the Dance Floor Blood on the Dance Floor is an American scene duo currently consisting of Dahvie Vanity and Fallon Vendetta that formed in 2006. Former members include Jayy von Monroe (2009-2016) and Garrett Ecstasy (2009). All of them provided vocals to the project. more.

I'm not touching this teen emo band, if you like them cool if you don't cool - germshep24

True you can ignore their music, but still these guys deserve every hate. - Userguy44

They deserve the hate they get. - RadioHead03

26 Janick Gers Janick Robert Gers is an English musician, best known for being one of the three current guitarists in Iron Maiden, along with Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, as well as his earlier work with Gillan and White Spirit.

I always thought he was underrated instead of hated. He has great energy on stage and he isn't that bad of a guitarist. - Userguy44

They actually sound good with three guitarists. Not saying they weren't good with 2 guitarists, but it gives the band a fuller sound. - Userguy44

27 Behemoth Behemoth is a Polish blackened death metal band from Gdańsk, formed in 1991. They are considered to have played an important role in establishing the Polish extreme metal underground.

Hated for being "mallcore". - XxembermasterxX

This isn’t even a black metal band. I don’t listen to them, but probably hated because their music is too intense I don't know. - Userguy44

28 Kanye West Kanye Omari West is an American rapper, songwriter, and fashion designer. He was born on June 8, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia. After West's parents divorced, him and his single mother moved to Chicago, Illinois. At the age of 10, West temporarily moved to Nanjing, China, because his mother was teaching more.

I personally don't have to agree with an artist politically or love them as a person to be able to appreciate and enjoy their music. Kanye is famously one of the most consistent Hip-Hop artists and deserves the praise he receives for that. - ParasN2000

He is definitely one of the strangest artist, but honestly any artist that has made it big deserve some respect no matter how terrible you think their music is - germshep24

Hated more by his controversies than his music, if you don't like his music, the probably you weren't made for rap - Pato_cargo

Don't agree, Kanye West isn't the greatest rapper, don't get me wrong he isn't a terrible rapper, just not a rapper to write home about. He is a very poppy rapper - germshep24

31 Luis Fonsi Luis Alfonso Rodríguez López-Cepero, known by his stage name Luis Fonsi, is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and actor, best known for his 2017 worldwide hit song "Despacito", featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee, which won a total of four Latin Grammy Awards.

I used to hate him because it beat out, "See you again" to 3,000,000,000 views, but I think I should stop hating him. He seems cool :D - 0w0uwu

Who the hell is this? - RobertWisdom

No one should hate them just because of The Black Parade

35 Lil Meerkat Ameeer Pipi, better known by his stage name Lil Meerkat is a Canadian rapper and singer-songwriter. He is known for his infamous remix of the popular Queen song "Bohemian Rhapsody". He released his debut studio album "Weeaboo Paradise, Vol. 1" in November 2018.

Can somebody explain what is the "absurd" reason he gets hated? He sucks and this isn't an "absurd" reason. Some say he is a parody artist. So? Then he's a bad parody artist, too. I adore Weird Al Yankovic, a great parody artist, who also did a parody of a Queen song - Another One Bites the Dust (Another One Rides the Bus). You know, there are good and bad parody artists. - Metal_Treasure

Is he really a parody artist and people hate him because they don't get that he is making parody music - germshep24

I wonder who discovered him on TheTopTens. I am sure I would have never found him myself. - Alkadikce

It's time to add some non-rock artists to the list, he's the only one so far.

Edit: this comment is from early 2019, days after the list was submitted - Alkadikce

Surprisingly there is no reason for the hate in any of the comments, just confusion on how this person got so popular on thetoptens - germshep24

36 Submarine Man Water Handblast (born Ardy Robert Andrews) better known by his name Submarine Man, is an American rapper known for his songs that heavily feature lyrics about foot fetishes as well as heavily autotuned vocals.

I will copy parts of my comment to Lil Meerkat because they are similar cases: Can somebody explain what is the "absurd" reason he gets hated? He sucks and this isn't an "absurd" reason. Some say he is a parody artist. So? Then he's a bad parody artist, too. I adore Weird Al Yankovic, a great parody artist. You know, there are good and bad parody artists. - Metal_Treasure
