This list does not necessarily mean the best artists to come of the 2000s and 2010s, but the best artists who were very popular in this time, that many of the kids of the generation listened to.

1 Muse Muse are an English alternative rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The members are Matt Bellamy (lead vocal, lead guitar, piano, keyboard), Dom Howard (drums, percussion) and Chris Wolstenholme (bass, backing vocals). They've won several awards including 5 MTV Awards, 8 NME Awards, 2 Brit Awards, and 2 Grammy Awards.

Extremely popular in the mid-2000s and even more in the early 2010s. If any Millennial rock band deserves some love, Muse is definitely a contender.

2 Kendrick Lamar Kendrick Lamar Duckworth (born June 17, 1987) is an American rapper and songwriter. Raised in Compton, California, Lamar embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name K-Dot, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE).

9 J. Cole Jermaine Lamarr Cole, better known by his stage name J. Cole, is an American hip hop recording artist and record producer.

2014 Forest Hills Drive is an album that comes to mind. J. Cole is another pretty introspective rapper in the mainstream. Lost Ones is a good song to see that he's more than just a party rapper and he does talk about some real issues.

Green Day are awesome. Their music is popular with a wide range of age group from 8 year olds to 80 year olds. Their music really has a connection with generation Z.

Before you say anything, she isn't just the Call Me Maybe girl anymore. Emotion is a great pop album from this decade.
