One of the biggest hard rock bands ever but they never even had a top 10 hit in the US.

Something of a surprise one of the most popular rock bands ever did not get a number one hit song the highest they got was number 4 with Whole Lotta Love their signature song Stairway to Heaven was not even a single.

One of the biggest country singers ever even if you count people who were only partly country like Elvis Presley and Taylor Swift but his biggest hit "Lost in You" stopped at number 5.

It's funny; even though he didn't really have any hit songs, he's still considered one of the most influential guitarists of all time. If he came on the scene today, his influence probably wouldn't be so widespread; that's one of the big problems with today's hit single-driven, formula following music industry.

They actually got closer than Nirvana but still never got the top spot.
