Top Ten Music Artists We Would Have Liked to Hear Perform a James Bond ThemePetSounds This list is devoted to artists who didn't and are unlikely to. So no new musicians--there's already a list for them.
The Top Ten
Can't you just imagine Queen doing a Bond theme in their heyday? It could be stylistically similar to "Live and Let Die"--a rocker powered by Freddie's voice and piano. Think "Don't Stop Me Now" or "Under Pressure." - PetSounds
I couldn't agree more with this #1 item (it doesn't happen very often to me). - Metal_Treasure
This Would Be Very Theatrical - BeatlesFan1964
Speaking of "Under Pressure," Bowie could have provided an awesome glam rocker in Roger Moore's early days, a quirky experimental piece in the Pierce Brosnan era, or even a cheesy pop tune in the '80s. I guess it's technically still possible, albeit unlikely.
The theme for Quantum of Solace was a collaboration, so why not imagine him teaming up with Queen? - PetSounds
Great list, PetSounds!
David Bowie would be amazing! He'd be perfect! - Britgirl
She would have fit the mould perfectly if she'd lived long enough. - PetSounds
Hey how did I miss her? Obviously, she'd be an excellent choice. Let's bring her back... - Britgirl
She Would Have Kicked Ass - BeatlesFan1964
Morrissey doing a Bond theme is about as likely as Paul McCartney doing a Bond theme. Oh, wait... - PetSounds
This would actually work well. Morrissey has that kind of commanding voice. - IronSabbathPriest
Who wouldn't love "The Chain" as a Bond theme? - PetSounds
The timing is all wrong. Their music wouldn't have suited any of the Connery/Lazenby movies, and Jim Morrison didn't live long enough for any others. Assuming time travel is possible, I think they'd be perfect for Dalton or Craig. Although I can't imagine them working well with the musical director. - PetSounds
Jim could have had a cameo role in the film, probably a fight scene.
Indeed, the thought of Jim co-operating with a antsy Musical Director is kind of funny.
This would be... different. But I think it would be cool, too. - PetSoundsV 1 Comment
She reportedly already has the inside track to sing the theme to the film version of Game of Thrones, her ethereal, otherworldly voice would definitely lend itself to a Bond film depending on the script.
Done. She covered Sam Smith's "Writings on the Wall" from the Bond film "Spectre".
Dio had a powerful and flawless voice suitable for epic OST.
Think Holy Diver, Don't Talk To Strangers, Rainbow In The Dark.
Holy diver even has a creepy intro.
Also Evil Eyes - a song to pair with the racing scenes. James Bond had Golden Eyes, so why not a song like Evil Eyes, too? - Metal_Treasure
No doubt it would be incredible. Soulful, powerful, shaky and dark. Everything Bond. - PositronWildhawk
