I would say Pop Rock to Psychedelic Rock, it's more accurate.
Their early stuff was pop-rock (not totally pop, it sounded like rock music of that era), and starting with Rubber Soul, they created their own brand of Psychedelic Rock with massively ambitious production and layered sounds behind hummable melodies.

Get real! Their songs were mostly pop with a couple of soft rock songs. Elvis Presley sang rock!

They were great at both.

She was always pop, but she used to do country pop until 2015 when she went to regular dance pop in 2015 & electropop in 2017 & eventually she went into contemporary pop & lately she did folk & Indie pop. After all, pop doesn't have a specific style since its popular music.

Yeah... I prefer the country Taylor even though I'm not a fan of country music.

I guess they have several psychedelic rock songs so this item is correct but Deep Purple were not much into that. Jon Lord said that their managers and producers wanted Deep Purple to do more psychedelic stuff because it was popular but Deep Purple didn't want. Before metal they were basically a progressive rock band.
