Top 10 Music Artists with the Most Annoying Stereotypes
Ah stereotypes are so annoying, regardless of what they're related to. I'll be focusing on some stereotypes made on a couple of artists, if I missed one feel free to add one. But basically a stereotype is a false generalization about something or someone that is ultimately not true.
Not all of their songs sound the same, a few might but not all of them do. Also songs like: Leave Out all the Rest, My December, Shadow of the Day, Iridescent, Burning in the Skies, Castle of Glass, Roads Untraveled, and etc. are not edgy.
Half agree with this. I wouldn't say that all of their songs sound the same, but they are certainly very edgy.
This is kinda true in my opinion. They usually have this annoyingly angst vocals in their music.
Their songs may not sound the same all the time but they are really ''edgy''', at least in my opinion.

I don't agree with any of those stereotypes, because songs like: Because of You and Just to Get High do have meaning. Because of You, is a song about self harm, Just to Get High is about the dangers of drug addiction. Plus they aren't talentless, and their hate gets really annoying.
Most of their songs are kinda useless to me but they do have a couple good songs that I haven't listened to yet.
Feed the Machine seemed fairly meaningful and showed they had talent.

Simple Minded people call this band Emo.
Normie: You listen to rock?! Emo
Not emo at all... and nothing about them screams emo to me.

Trying a different music style is not selling out, also they don't pander to "emos", and they definitely are punk considering how they have the aggressive "I DON'T CARE" punk attitude.
Green Day are too upbeat for emos. I do agree with the sellout part though.
They're punk not emo but yeah I do think they've sold out.

A lot of his albums feature Satanic imagery and he has done a lot of disturbing stuff like burning Bibles at a concert so this is true to an extent. I don't know if he's an actual Satanist though.
He's controversial, but I don't think he's devil's music.
With that makeup he doesn't look satanic.
At least he got a good personality!

Still kind of true though
Kid A also is good

Not a stereotype because it's true. I can barely tell any of their songs apart.
True to a extent.

He's angry is most of his newer songs. He doesn't yell as much as he did around his Recovery era but when he does it sounds awful and nasal. His older songs aren't as aggressive though.
He might be aggressive in a lot of songs, but not all of them. He doesn't act black either, so he's not a wigger...

Pretty disprovable if you've heard any of the music she released in 2017.
She stopped doing these.

This is more of a true stereotype, because their music production is bland and none of their songs are anything past mediocre.

Yeah I know it's annoying to include him on every list in existence... but Christ the Bieber has gotten very stale. I'm no fan of him, but he's not the worst thing ever made... and he can sing it's just very mediocre.
I disagree! He CAN sing! But he's still the worst thing in the world. HAHA not a fan, but he can sing better than lil pump. *wink wink* JK
Bieber isn't a beaten dead horse, he's every beaten dead horse in the world.
The Bieber haters are basically beating a dead horse. I’m not a fan of him but he’s mediocre and irrelevant.

They're not emo, they're only called that because of their ridiculous fanbase. Gerard Way himself has stated that he doesn't like the term "emo".
For every body saying that they're emo, understand that emo is a genre, and one that My Chemical Romance isn't. Just because they get labled as emo doesn't make them emo. Do you want to know why they get refered to as emo? Because their first album had a lot of elements of acutal emo. If you want to try out true emo, listen to Rites of Spring or Cap'n Jazz. And stop judging an artist because of their style. Even if you aren't a fan, give them the respect they deserve. I've listened to a few of their non-singles, and some of those lyrics are awesome. They're not a band I listen to much, but I could probably get into them someday. Another problem is that people judge and artist's whole discography after listening to a few singles. Sometimes you have to dive much deeper to find the true gems. I used to hate this band simply because I thought it was an "emo band" but then I actually gave them a chance, and I learned to respect them. I haven't listened to too many of their songs, but ...more
They are emo, they dress like emos, are immature like emos and their music is trash.
They're actually pop punk and post-hardcore with a little bit alternative.

Trippie has toned the yelling down, probably because he's hitting puberty or for any other reasons. But his yelling takes time to get used to.
I agree that he uses a lot of autotuned in his songs but he has a lot of songs where he doesn't use autotune and raps normally.

XXX has a big variety of songs so he can whine in 1 song, scream in another and rap normally in another song.

I majorly disagree with all of the stereotypes thrown at Evanescence, they're probably one of the most varied 2000s rock bands out there especially with The Open Door.

She is talented, some of her popular songs are her worst songs but she has a lot of meaningful songs like Grand Piano and All Things Go. Her most undiscovered songs are some of her best work.
Granted she has made a few songs about sex... but surprisingly she made a decent song called Grand Piano something I honestly wouldn't expect from her. Not all of her songs are about sex, but the ones that are definitely suck. She has talent, but chooses to not show it and it's frustrating.
Actually she does have talent, she has good verses on songs that feature her too.
Even if she's not a great musician, she is a good VA.

*mOST of his songs are trash. He does have a few bangers here and there but that's like 5% of his whole discography so I half-agree with this.
His songs are trash though.
This ain't a stereotype, it's a fact.

Don't even get me started, on this... it's annoying as hell.

I’ve always hated the word “poser”.

Not a fan of her music... but not all of her songs are about guys she dated.
