Music Artists with a Debatable Personality

Some musicians may be nice, cool, loving, sweet and overall wonderful towards their fans and towards others. Others could be really rude, narcissistic or just flat-out douchy (Looking at you Gene Simmons). But what about those who are more mixed and complex than you'd think. Here are some artists with personalities that have their shares of nice and genuine moments and traces of some bad ones.
The Top Ten
1 Axl Rose William Bruce Rose Jr., better known as 'Axl Rose', is an American singer born on February 6, 1962, in Lafayette, Indiana. He Is the founder and lead singer of the hard rock band Guns N' Roses. He is a celebrated but controversial figure in the world of rock.

Axl Rose can be quite outrageous when it comes to his anger issues, but one must notice that he didn't have the best childhood, considering his parents separated and he was the subject of molestation by his adopted father and never knew his biological father, so I guess the emotional trauma Axl had to go through was huge.

In addition, some people have admitted to say Axl is actually a nice guy these days and has even reconciled with Slash, which makes me smile :).

Aside from the overreactions, he seems like a cool and intelligent guy. His story was so heartbreaking to read. His family should go to hell for doing that to him.

2 Dave Mustaine David Scott "Dave" Mustaine (born September 13, 1961) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, actor and author. Mustaine is best known as a pioneer in Thrash Metal, being the former lead guitarist of Metallica before his dismissal in 1983, leading to finding and becoming the front man of his own band Megadeth shortly after.

Just read his letter when he's now finished with his cancer diagnose. Pretty nice guy despite some of his idiotic actions

He used to be a bit of a jerk, but he's simmered down nowadays.

3 Kurt Cobain Kurt Cobain was born February 20, 1967, in Aberdeen, Washington. In 1987, he started the grunge band Nirvana, which became one of the most successful bands ever. 4 Corey Taylor Corey Todd Taylor was born in December 8, 1973. He is an American musician, author, and actor best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the Nu-metal band Slipknot and hard rock/alternative metal band Stone Sour.

He can be quite controversial and somewhat angry, but he can be quite nice of a person and a loving father - TheDarkOne_221b

I love Corey Taylor, but even then, he's had his fair share of hits and misses.

Elite rustler. Cool man

5 John Lennon John Winston Ono Lennon, MBE (9 October 1940 - 8 December 1980) was an English singer and songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as a co-founder of the Beatles, the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music. He was assassinated by Mark David Chapman on December 8, 1980 at age 40. Lennon was characterised by the rebellious nature and acerbic wit in his music, writing and drawings, on film, and in interviews. His songwriting partnership with Paul McCartney remains the most successful in history.

A lot of people say Lennon was a jerk at times constantly wrestling Paul McCartney over leadership of The Beatles, but I'm pretty sure he was a loving father and that he was someone who would often spread quotes regarding peace and equality.

He used to be a woman beater.

6 Mike Portnoy Michael Portnoy is an American drummer primarily known as the former drummer, backing vocalist, and a co-founder of the progressive metal/rock band Dream Theater. Known for his technical skill as a drummer, Portnoy has won 30 awards from the Modern Drummer magazine.

What did be do?

7 Kerry King Kerry Ray King is an American musician, best known as a guitarist for the American thrash metal band Slayer.

King is mixed when it comes to personality. Some appreciate him for being genuine and nice to his fans whereas some view him as a complete jerk due to his "rambling" when it comes to being in a microphone in an interview.

8 Noel Gallagher Noel Thomas David Gallagher is an English musician, singer, songwriter and guitarist. He served as the lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist and principal songwriter of the rock band Oasis.

He's warmed up quite recently, but some people still view him as a jerk of sorts unfortunately.

9 Gene Simmons Chaim Witz, known professionally by his stage name Gene Simmons, is an Israeli-American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, actor and television personality.

I like Axl, I like Corey, I even like Dave Mustaine...but this guy? Ugh, I can't stand him. He's a total jackass who thinks that he's above all. Basically, he's like the Kanye West of rock music. He's not that talented either.

He literally said that it was a GOOD thing, that certain musicians killed themselves. Absolute scumbag.

He pisses a lot of people off. Some even say he ruined Rock music.

10 Justin Bieber Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada and is Christian. He is the son of author Pattie Mallette. ...read more.

WhIle I admit Bieber can be a big Jerk, he has done some nice things and sometimes he's quite decent to his fans and he also performed a tribute to Christina Grimmie after she was shot. I'm not a Bieber fan, but his personality isn't that bad, anymore at least

Amazing man. Spit on his fans. Wonderful.
