It doesn't matter if you love or hate these artists, as long as their lyrics carry a big fat "Explicit Lyrics" sticker.

3 E-Rotic E-Rotic is a German eurodance group. The band originally consisted of the duo, the lead singer Lyane Leigh, the rapper Raz-Ma-Taz and the group's producer David Brandes.

As the band name suggests, this novelty eurodance/bubblegum dance duo originally was all about silly sex songs titled "Max Don't Have Sex With Your Ex", "Fritz Love My Tits" or "Fred Come to Bed". Later on, they also had cleaner and less silly songs ("Queen of Light", "Lemmings on the Run",...) but their first few albums were almost exclusively like this.

At least on their first four album, this crunkcore duo infamously had a lot of extremely sexually explicit songs. Later on, their lyrics became more varied as they tip toed towards the emo subculture.

5 Brokencyde Brokencyde is an American crunkcore musical group from Albuquerque, New Mexico, founded in 2006. The group's lineup consists of David "Se7en" Gallegos and Michael "Mikl" Shea, and musically are one of the founding groups in the crunkcore genre, which is crunk hip-hop with screamed vocals.

Another crunkcore group that is pretty much all about sex, partying and drugs. At their time that was pretty outstanding and many people hate their explicit lyrics so I included them here, but ten years later it doesn't seem much worse than other rappers to be honest.

6 Liz Phair Elizabeth Clark Phair is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist born on April 17, 1967 in Connecticut. ...read more.

Liz Phair is a singer-songwriter I absolutely adore. She's tough and wild, and simply cool. And she embraces her sexuality and shares it with us, which got her on this list. But Phair does it in a certain way that makes it appear progressive and not cheap. It's like she's saying: "I am a progressive woman that's not totally feminine and stereotypical... but I still love sex."

7 Nina Hagen Band Nina Hagen Band was a German punk rock band consisting of Nina Hagen (vocals), Reinhold Heil (keyboard), Herwig Mitteregger (drums), Bernhard Potschka (guitar) and Manfred Praeker (bass), that formed in 1978 and disbanded in 1979. ...read more.

In the 70s, Nina Hagen was a very controversial and outspoken woman that often included explicit sexual lyrics in her songs, and that was something entirely new back then. A tomboyish punk girl that screamed into the mic about her shower fantasies and her adventures at a train station toilet with another woman was not part of Germany's everyday music. However, she also makes clear on another song that it is her choice having sex and she never lets anyone tell her what to do. The two albums she recorded with the Nina Hagen band became cult classics in Germany.

8 Tenacious D Tenacious D is an American comedy rock duo that was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1994. Composed of lead vocalist and guitarist Jack Black and lead guitarist and vocalist Kyle Gass, the band has released three albums – Tenacious D, The Pick of Destiny and Rize of the Fenix.

Another comedy rock group that has lots of explicitely sexual lyrics and much adult oriented humor.

9 Frank Zappa Frank Vincent Zappa was an American musician, songwriter, composer, record producer, actor and filmmaker.

Zappa is another musician that can use highly sexual lyrics and be praised for it, because it was rebellious and progressive when he recorded it. Actually, it feels kind of weird that in the 60s and 70s, and then again in the 90s, artists with sexual lyrics were praised for their attitude, and nowadays sexual lyrics are something bad again. Doesn't feel too progressive to me.

To me, his sexual lyrics actually work since most of his songs are confusing and weird to listen to. That's what I respect about Zappa.

His influence on fashion, music, and pop culture in general remains as his legacy--along, of course, with his unforgettable music.
