Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer/pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody.
Known for an average early 2000s nu-metal album with two substandard hits, then they faded away into obscurity. Honestly they were a very mediocre and forgettable band at the best, especially when bands like Cardigans have went on to outfame them in their home country. If it wasn't for constant Eurovision pandering, catchy songs and over-marketing they wouldn't be remembered at the rate they are. - Swellow
