Top 10 Music Artists You've Given a Chance and Still Hate

The Top Ten
1 Chris Brown Christopher Maurice "Chris" Brown (born May 5, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, he was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age. He is most well known for his physical assault towards the singer Rihanna in 2009. He is also known for many hit singles, such as "Kiss Kiss", "Run It!", "Forever", "Deuces", "Look At Me Now", "Loyal", "Ayo", and "Back to Sleep".

I must admit I watch a few YouTubers rundowns of the best hit songs of a given year and a couple of times he has come up. Honestly even the songs brought up sound really lazy and boring and those are from what I can tell his best songs.

It seems since 2011, I gave him a chance for ruining Look At Me Now but he made awful songs and I've given up just after Privacy. I've given him too many chances.

I've tried to separate the person from the music, which I've somehow done, but his music is so bad that it's really not worth it.

2 Madonna Madonna Louise Ciccone, known professionally as Madonna, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. She influenced a lot of singers such as: Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles and Britney Spears. She is known as Queen of Pop and at modern pop culture specifically in 2012 "Madge" or MDNA. She has 14 studio albums (Madonna, Like a Virgin, True Blue, Like a Prayer, Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light, Music, American Life, Confessions on a Dance Floor, Hard Candy, MDNA, Rebel Heart, and Madame X), 3 soundtrack albums (Who's That Girl, I'm Breathless, and Evita), 4 compilation albums (The Immaculate Collection, Something to Remember, GHV2, and Celebration), ...read more.

She still thinks she's 24 but in reality, she's nearly 60. Madonna, you had only 1 song on your new album this year that hit the Billboard 100. A sign that you should retire instead of sucking the life of younger and fresher pop artists?

People always hating on female singer. Prople always mentioning her age like she's 80 or something. Lots of artist still working in their 70s.

3 Travis Scott Jacques Webster, better known by his stage name Travis Scott, is an American hip hop recording artist, record producer and musician from Houston, Texas.

A Kanye West and T-Pain ripoff in one. Nobody can ever give me any reasons why his music is good, other than "it's so lit." It's not his lyrics, voice and rapping, that's for sure. He's not the worst but he's just so boring and generic, literally anyone can autotune their voice over generic trap beats.

When I gave him a chance, he became 1 of my favourite trap artists. He knows how to play around with his voice and when he doesn't use autotune, he can actually rap well.

4 Drake Aubrey Drake Graham, known professionally as Drake, is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor, born on October 24, 1986 in Toronto, Canada. He started his career on Canadian reality show "Degrassi: The Next Generation".

I always think that Drake is better at singing than he is at rapping, but then I remember how Drake has like a 5 note range so he actually isn't a good singer either. Drake really isn't exceptional in anything, he's just someone who has managed to make a long-lasting career off of hits and being co-signed by other artists who came before him. It's pathetic really, whenever he raps he just sounds out of place.

Drake is a decent artist. Just plagiarizes and is boring. Basically the good version of the lead singer of Led Zeppelin.

Drake is a decent songwriter, but he just isn't good at rapping.

5 Cardi B Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar (born October 11, 1992), known professionally as Cardi B, is an American rapper. Born and raised in New York City, she became an Internet celebrity by achieving popularity on Vine and Instagram. From 2015 to 2017, she appeared as a regular cast member on the VH1 reality television series Love & Hip Hop: New York, which depicted her pursuit of her music aspirations. She... read more

Believe it or not, I actually tried to give her a chance. Yes, even though I can't stand her personality I tried listening to her music, just to see what all the hype was about. And what did I find you may ask? A generic rapper with songs that sound unfinished. Like seriously, listen to her older music before she became so popular, before she had a ghostwriter. Her songs literally had two short as hell verses and then she just repeats herself because she couldn't think of anything else to say. She should've stuck to stripping. I honestly hate her personality more than her actual music, but her music is still either very bad or just very generic and deserves no kind of praise or attention.

I gave a chance and liked her but when I gave her a 2nd listen, I started regretting everything I was doing, she's so insufferable to listen to, especially when you listen to her more than once.

6 Justin Bieber Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada and is Christian. He is the son of author Pattie Mallette. ...read more.

I've given the trashcan a chance. He's worth listening to these days. In the 2012 he became increasingly ignorance and improved in 2015.

7 Nickelback Nickelback is a Canadian post-grunge band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, Canada. The band is composed of guitarist and lead vocalist Chad Kroeger, guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger, and drummer Daniel Adair.

In my case it wasn't exactly 'giving a chance' because you 'give a chance' when many people like a band and recommend it to you. But I read many times Nickelback were dreadful and I got ready to hear "the worst of the worst". Well, it wasn't the worst of the worst. They aren't my cup of tea but I really liked one song - Burn It To The Ground.

They're not that bad actually...

8 Jason Derulo Jason Joel Desrouleaux, better known by his stage name Jason Derulo (an alternate spelling of his surname), is an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. He is best known for his singles such as "Whatcha Say", "Ridin' Solo", "In My Head", "What If", "Wiggle", "Talk Dirty", "Trumpets" and "Want To Want Me", all of which have gone platinum.

He's pretty similar to Eric Bellinger, he could be good if he stuck to what he was good at but sadly he doesn't. If I'm Lucky was one of his best songs and it had good lyrics and production and he didn't use any autotune, but that's rare.

I've gave him quite a few chance. He's alright at best but he can be horrendous at worst. Unfortunately for him, his bad songs outweighs his good ones.

No one likes you, your music is about sex and your music is repetitive and all your songs are mainstream garbage,ew! I hate you so much! Your voice is sounds like a dying horse

Mmm watcha say. Mm that you only rode solo while trumpets they go

9 Adele Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (born 5 May 1988) is an English singer and songwriter. Graduating from the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in 2006, Adele was given a recording contract by XL Recordings after a friend posted her demo on Myspace the same year. She is best known with her international hit singles like Rolling in the Deep, Someone Like You, Hello, Easy On Me and the success of her second, third and fourth studio album which is 21, 25 and 30.

I gave her a chance after 21, an album I didn't really like and her weakest album yet. Guess what, she improved.

Back in my years of being and emo, fat tumblrina feminist I can somewhat remember enjoying her existence.
Now it's a bit of a blur.

Ugly, fat, can't sing, why is she getting all the attention...?

10 Linkin Park Linkin Park is an American alternative rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. The current members include Mike Shinoda (vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Brad Delson (guitar), Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bass), Joe Hahn (DJ), and Rob Bourdon (drums). Like most people, I went through a phase where I loved Linkin Park. I like to think I've grown out of it now though.

Used to love Linkin Park but I don't like them at all anymore.

Some people can't really appreciate their comeback.

The Contenders
11 Rihanna Robyn Rihanna Fenty is a Barbadian-American pop singer. Born in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown, she first entered the music industry by recording demo tapes under the direction of record producer Evan Rogers in 2003. She ultimately signed a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for its then-president, hip-hop producer and rapper Jay Z.

I gave her so many chances and I think she's talented, but she's not outstanding.

Her voice should be an instant turn-off for anybody.

12 One Direction One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) were a British-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously, Zayn Malik until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015. Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's four albums, Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home, Midnight Memories and Four topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young", and ...read more.

I've given her a chance after Problem, it's my least favorite song of hers because of Iggy who sounded better than she usually does, Ariana was also good. Anyways, after Problem she remained good so yea...I disagree with this one.

I kind of have a guilty pleasure for her. She has a very good voice but she's using it wrong. But I hope that as she matures she will do great things. Plus she's a hottie.

14 Eric Bellinger Eric Bellinger, Jr., born March 26, 1986, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer from Los Angeles, California.

I've given him many chances, he can be pretty good at best but horrendously atrocious and cringe-worthy at his worst. Sadly, he hardly ever sticks to his strengths and instead tries to be the next Chris Brown or Jeremih.

15 Miley Cyrus Miley Ray Hemsworth (born Destiny Hope Cyrus), known as Miley Cyrus, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, to Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. Her voice type is Mezzo-Soprano and has 4 octaves. She became a teen idol starring as the character Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana in 2006. After that Miley had numerous worldwide hits, such as ''Party in the USA'', '' We Can’t Stop'', and ''Wrecking Ball''. On December 23, 2018 she got married to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, but they divorced shortly after.

I gave her 2 chances, after We Can't Stop and the other one just after 23. I eventually gave up after BB Talk and her Dead Pets which is MUCH worse than Bangerz.

16 Ty Dolla Sign Tyrone William Griffin, Jr., born April 13, 1982, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He first gained major recognition in 2010 for his feature on YG's "Toot It and Boot It", which he had written and produced for Def Jam Recordings. In November 2015, he released his debut studio album, Free TC, which peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard 200. Ty Dolla Sign is perhaps best known for his singles "Paranoid", "Or Nah", and "Blasé", being featured on Fifth Harmony's "Work from Home" and Post Malone's "Psycho", his unique raspy voice, as well as his writing contributions ...read more.

Would you really give Ty Dolla $ign a chance? His name alone should be an automatic turn-off.

17 Breaking Benjamin Breaking Benjamin is a American post-grunge/alternative metal/rock band formed in 1998. The bands members all changed in the time between 2010 to 2014, with the exception of Ben Burnley (Vocals). The Ex-Members included Chad Szeliga (Drums), Aaron Fink (Guitar) and Mark Klepaspi (Bass). The band is one of the most well-known bands of its genre and is associated with its electronic sounds in their songs and overall technicality. After the release of their second album "We Are Not Alone", the band gained a lot success in Europe and Asia.

I'm not into them but I don't hate them. I only hate when people think Breaking Benjamin are metal and put them on metal lists. They aren't metal, trust me.

What have they done to make anyone hate them?

I like this one.

18 Usher Usher Terry Raymond IV is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. Born in Dallas, but raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee was where he lived until moving to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 12 where his mother put him in local singing competitions all over the city.

Usher's older music was pretty good, but his songs in recent years have been more than questionable. He's still a lot better than Chris Clown, but still he isn't as great as Joe, Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Johnny Gill or even R. Kelly when it comes to r&b.

Never been an Usher fan, but hey, he's had some decent songs. He's better than the one who shall not be named at least.

Lol he's the good version of Chris Clown.

19 Marilyn Manson Marilyn Manson is an American rock band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Formed in 1989 by frontman Marilyn Manson and Daisy Berkowitz, the group was originally named Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids with their theatrical performances gathering a local cult following in the early 1990s. The name of the band comes from famous sex symbol Marilyn Monroe and famous criminal Charles Manson. Manson joined these two names together because he wanted a name combined with good (Monroe) and evil (Manson). The other members of the band have their stage names combined with the first names of famous sex symbols and the last names of famous serial killers.

Definitely overrated by goth kids. He may be a smart guy and all, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a godawful singer. His former label mate Trent Reznor is way better at singing.

I've given him a chance. Turns out he's creepy and incredibly boring apart from some of the obnoxious voices.

Trent Reznor is way better than Marilyn Manson.

He's actually really good.

I'd either like her and absolutely not like her, and it's usually the latter...

21 Kanye West Ye (born Kanye Omari West; June 8, 1977) is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and fashion designer. He is regarded as one of the most influential, as well as controversial, artists of the 21st century. ...read more.

First three albums were great. Fourth album was really different but still pretty good. Fifth album was horrible, and I don't know why people like it so much. From that album on, Kanye's never been the same. I guess being around a kartrashian made him loos all of his brain cells.

I've given him A LOT of chances. It worked and didn't at the same time. He's declined slightly in quality but unlike DeRulo, his good songs outweigh his bad songs.

22 Rebecca Black Rebecca Black is a YouTube personality and singer who's infamous for her 2011 single "Friday," which was the most disliked video on YouTube until "Baby" by Justin Bieber became the most disliked video in 2012. She has also released other songs, including "My Moment" and "Saturday".

I HAVE given her a chance. She turned out pretty decent.

23 Lady Gaga Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress.

On the start of her career, she performed at an event called the Lollapalooza Festival during 2007 whereby a record label company Interscope found her due to her performance being “amusing” to watch. Since Interscope found her, she was a mastermind behind her songs with a team of producers namely Rob Fusari and RedOne. Most of her songs were deep unreleased cuts, due to her having more than 30 songs and 17 were picked. ...read more.
24 YoungBoy Never Broke Again

I keep giving him chances but his voice is so insufferable, he does have SOME good lyrics at times but it's all masked by his terrible rhythm. I wish I could like him more.

25 Korn Korn is an American nu-metal band from Bakersfield, California, formed in 1993.
