Best Music Genres to Describe the Theme of War

War is a very controversial topic to talk about. Come to think of it, it is also one of the most interesting as there's a lot of detail that could be put into it, such as morality, death, survival, individuality, struggle and many others. And its no surprise that we have heard of at least one war song in our lifetime.

When you have songs like Metallica's "One and "Disposable Heroes", Megadeth's "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" and Slayer's "War Ensemble", you know Thrash does a great job in war protesting. If Thrash is about aggression and being frenetic, the theme of warfare just fits in naturally. Overall, the perfect combination :).

By the way, I made this list because of Thrash Metal :P.
