The Top Ten

1 Bob Dylan Bob Dylan Bob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter, author, and artist who has been an influential figure in popular music and culture for more than five decades.

Horrible, I can't stand him. I admit, that he is a good songwriter, but you can't listen him, so I don't care about his lyrics, because I get a headache every time I hear his voice.

He is a very good song writer, but it's a crime to everyone, when he sings. Terrible. And he is number 4 in Rolling Stones Magazine top 100 singer of all time. Freddie Mercury is 18th. LOL

Dave is one of the best guitar players out there and my favorite song writer but his voice is weird and sounds annoying at times. - IronMaidenFan666

Yes, he was created for a guitarist, not for a singer...

3 Ozzy Osbourne Ozzy Osbourne John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne was born on December 3, 1948. He is also known as ''The Prince of Darkness''. Ozzy is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. He rose to prominence in the early 1970s as the lead vocalist of the band Black Sabbath. Osbourne was fired from Black Sabbath more.

His vocals are actually very monotonous and annoying, I bet if he wouldn't cited as the godfather of metal people would not even like him...

Ozzy used to have an interesting voice in his early days with Black Sabbath but still it wasn't as good as some other rock legends voices. - IronMaidenFan666

Eminem has sold over 300 million records making him the bestselling hip-hop artist of all time. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of D12 and (with Royce more.

The best rapper ever in my opinion but a really bad singer, he should have used some other singers to sing his chorouses like in his most legendary songs. - IronMaidenFan666

5 Britney Spears Britney Spears Britney Jean Spears is an American singer and actress. Born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. She performed acting roles in stage productions and television shows like "The Mickey Mouse Club" as a child before signing with Jive Records in 1997 and going on to become a pop superstar more.

She has an okay voice. It's average. Its easily recognizable though and fits the tone of the music. When you listen to the time when her music was really good in her genre, which was from her first album to "In the Zone", you'll recognize she often voice acts in her song to transport the mood, whether it is shyness ("U Drive Me Crazy"), sexiness ("I'm a Slave 4 U"), stength ("Stronger") or sadness ("every time"). You always buy it. She's not a technically great singer, but she certainly has enough charisma to back it up and has great producers and songwriters behind her. Now ever since her music relied so much on Autotune and exchangable stomping house beats, that took everything that was interesting about her. - Martin_Canine

Britney Spears is a huge success story but while she can dance well and her songs sound really nice her voice is very lacking. - IronMaidenFan666

6 Lou Reed Lou Reed Lewis Allan "Lou" Reed (March 2, 1942 – October 27, 2013) was an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He was the guitarist, vocalist, and principal songwriter of the Velvet Underground, and his solo career spanned five decades. more.

I like his voice a lot. It's so relaxing. Walk on the wild side, pale blue eyes and sunday morning are all very relaxing songs with clean vocals. - KurtCocain

He is an icon but not for his singing abilities but for his musical vision, I think. - IronMaidenFan666

Yes, sometimes I feel like he tried to singing like Bob Dylan...

7 Ringo Starr Ringo Starr Richard Starkey known professionally as Ringo Starr, is an English musician, singer, songwriter and actor who gained worldwide fame as the drummer for the Beatles.

Ringo is a nice guy and a cool drummer at times but as far as The Beatles go his voice is by far the worst out of the Fab Four. - IronMaidenFan666

8 Matt Shadows Matt Shadows Matthew Charles Sanders, better known by his stage name M. Shadows, is an American musician, best known as the lead vocalist, songwriter and founding member of the American metalcore/alternative metal band Avenged Sevenfold.

Avenged Sevenfold are great but M Shadows is their weakness because of his weak voice, he may sounds like Axl Rose and Mike Patton at times but he's not great as them. - IronMaidenFan666

9 James LaBrie James LaBrie Kevin James LaBrie is a Canadian vocalist and songwriter, who is best known as the lead singer of the American progressive metal band Dream Theater.

He was great back in the 90's but later on he became somewhat annoying because of the damage that his vocal chords got. - IronMaidenFan666

Perhaps that explains why his voice sounds high pitched during the Live At Luna Park performance video I watched on YouTube. - Neonco31

The main reason I can't enjoy Dream Theatre that much. - cjWriter1997

10 Geddy Lee Geddy Lee Geddy Lee Weinrib, known professionally as Geddy Lee, is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist for the Canadian rock group Rush.

I can't stand his voice. So sad, because Rush is a really talented band, but I can't listen to any of their songs because his voice is so bad. - KurtCocain

The only reason I can't fully enjoy Rush songs. - Metal_Treasure

11 Beyonce Beyonce Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, is an American singer and actress, who started out in the popular pop/r&b girl group Destiny's Child. They had multiple top 5 hits such as "No, No, No", "Say My Name", "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Survivor", "Independent Women", "Bootylicious", and "Jumpin', Jumpin" from more.

I'm not a pop fan or her fan but she CAN sing. - Metal_Treasure

All of her costumes, dancing, stage choreography, etc. are there to cover up the fact that she is a mediocre singer at best. At least Bob Dylan really writes his songs, Beyoncé has the clout to make sure she is in the same room with a 5 or 6 pro songwriters, which insures she gets credit even if she only contributed an "oooh baby" to the lyrics.

You're missing the point. I don't like her as a music artist, but you can't deny the fact that she has a good voice. - KurtCocain

I agree with some of this list but Beyoncé is one of the modern pop singers who indeed do have a good voice. A really good one to be honest. Especially when she touches good old soul territories, as on "Listen" or "If I Were a Boy", or on her great psychadelic gospel track "Freedom". I once saw a live performance by her on TV where the beat suddenly stopped and she gave an amazing acapella performance where her voice ranged from very high to low but she managed to sound soulful and emotional in both extremes. Don't ask me which song that was, it was about ten years ago and I am not such a huge fan of her music to know all of her songs.
If she really wanted to, she could be the black Christina Aguilera, but she has too many uptempo pop songs where she doesn't showcase her voice and just flows with the beat. On her average hit single, she's always okay, but rarely stands out. What you remember is mostly the melody and beatwork. That's why people don't appreciate her talent. But I ...more - Martin_Canine

Acclaimed only because of the Rolling Stones, not more.

13 Johnny Rotten Johnny Rotten John Joseph Lydon, also known by his former stage name Johnny Rotten, is an English singer, songwriter, and musician.

The Sex Pistols were Punk icons and I really love the guitar work of Steve Jones but Johnny was an awful singer for me, like most Punk vocalists. - IronMaidenFan666
