Top Ten Music Lists on TheTopTens Where the Number One Items are Number One Items Probably Thanks to Spam Voting

Spam voting = one person returns for certain lists day by day to vote for one item and make it number one.
The Top Ten
1 Rod Stewart (Top Ten Most Influential Musicians of All Time) Roderick David "Rod" Stewart is a British rock singer-songwriter. Born and raised in London, he is of Scottish and English ancestry.

The explanation does not make sense either even if Rod Stewart influenced both punk and grunge those are still only minor sub genres of the whole of rock all of which was influenced by Chuck Berry.

I voted on that list, and saw the percentages: Rod Stewart 27%, Bob Dylan 9%, Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix and Michael Jackson and John Lennon 7%, Beethoven 5%, and Chuck Berry 3%. Wow.

Illustration of one of TTT's worst features, the re-mix. A single re-mix done on an older poll can equal 600-800 "regular" votes. Why bother voting at all?

He is a fantastic singer but he can barely play a guitar.

2 Rod Stewart (Most Talented Rock Singers) Roderick David "Rod" Stewart is a British rock singer-songwriter. Born and raised in London, he is of Scottish and English ancestry.

Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio, Rob Halford, Ian Gillan, Axl Rose, Devin Townshend, Corey Taylor, Glenn Hughes, Layne Staley, Serj Tankian, Robert Plant, Roger Daltrey, I can name so many that are better than him.

He's not more talented than singers like Freddie Mecury, Rob Halford, Ronnie James Dio etc

3 Hot Legs - Rod Stewart (Top 10 Most Instantly Recognizable Song Intros)

Wow, #1 Hot Legs 28%, #2 Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple, 10%.
The distance between #1 and #2 is very big. I guess this is a small list - with not many other votes and not enough remixes (it has only 5 remixes).

I don't even know this song...

Hot Legs by Rod Stewart - 28% (strange, most of the lists where a Rod Stewart related item is nr.1 have all 28% of the votings)
Everything else - under 10%

4 Stay with Me - The Faces (Top Ten Headbangers)

To be fair this song is pretty headbangable (i've only heard a Def Leppard cover of it) but it doesn't belong on that list

5 Rod Stewart (Most Influential Male Singers) Roderick David "Rod" Stewart is a British rock singer-songwriter. Born and raised in London, he is of Scottish and English ancestry.

Half of this list is made up of Rod Stewart.

Again, peculiar.

6 Stay with Me - Faces (Best Rock Song Intros)

Faces is Rod Stewart band, so nothing new

7 David Phelps (Top 10 Male Singers With the Most Powerful Voices) David Norris Phelps is an American Christian music vocalist, songwriter and vocal arranger, who is best known for singing tenor in the Gaither Vocal Band.

This is my list - the spam voter is a user with 3 accounts (votes with all 3 and also logged out). The user wrote about 100 praising comments about David Phelps (anonymous, of course). And then voted them up... multiple times.
As of Dec 30, 2017:
David Phelps - 32%
Luciano Pavarotti - 14% (and I've been voting for him from time to time trying to fix this list)
Freddie Mercury - 11%

8 Freddie Mercury (Best Singers of All Time) Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara, 5th September 1946 - 24th November 1991) was a Zanzibari-born British singer of Indian descent, songwriter and record producer, known as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the British rock band Queen. He also became known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range. Before he became a singer he has been in 3 other bands (Ibex, Sour Milk Sea, and The Hectics). He died on November 24, 1991 from bronchopneumonia as a result from HIV/AIDS

@phr why is it worth to you to do this? As christangrant said, you could simply use this site for more useful things, not for spam voting... since you're a registered user, you can make lists yourself and can put to nr.1 whatever you want, or do remixes of lists and put to nr.1 whatever you want. Voting on several lists twice every day is simply wasting your time, and if you would do remixes for the lists, people could see what are your favorites, not only about your votes. Or you can also write admiring comments with your user, not logged out (like you did most on the lists)
True, I don't mind what you do, I'm full neutral about you I just gave you an advice... I know you won't listening to me anyway but...

@phr, You're wasting your time spam voting the same items everyday, why is it worth it to you to vote for this item everyday just for spite? You could do much more on this website you know like make remixes, lists, posts etc, and you could put your favorite artists on the remixes which if you did that I would have no problem, but the problem is you decide to waste your time just to spam vote the same items everyday more than once as both a vistior and as a user. I don't mind if you like any music artist, you like Rod Stewart go ahead and like him but spam voting him on so many lists to number 1 isn't right and it makes voting on those lists unfair.

I also don't care if you like Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, and Foo Fighters, I was never a fan of them and I'm tired of having their fans (mostly Nirvana fans) show me their songs and shoving their love of the band down my throat.

It isn't spam voting. Freddie has a lot of fans in every age worldwide.
He is first in a lot of list: The greatest male rock singers of all time, Best male singers, Best rock singers, Best male rock vocalists, Best vocalists of the 20th century, Best lead singers, Best frontmen, Best singing voices, Best singers of the 20th century...etc. So are all these lists are spam votings?

@christangrant. I came back to this list simply to see if it still was here. Yes, I spam vote, I vote every day on everything NIRVANA, Kurt Cobain and Foo Fighters. You have a problem mate, deal with it.

9 Rod Stewart (Artists Who Sold Over 200 Million Albums Worldwide) Roderick David "Rod" Stewart is a British rock singer-songwriter. Born and raised in London, he is of Scottish and English ancestry.

The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Elvis and so on do not belong in the list of 200 million, the belong in the list of 300 million sales. So this list is maybe not correct. It's like comparing cars with engines of 2000 cc to cars of 3000 cc. Other category, other list.

Maybe Rod Stewart sold over 200 Million Albums, but since acts like Beatles, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen etc. are on this same list, Rod Stewart surely not the original nr.1 item.

Rod Stewart - 19% (There's a comment: "This guy has all the luck. His love and passion for music and his fans catapulted him to the top.") Don't believe this, it's only one user who votes for him every day.
Everything else - under 12%

Beatles, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen are all better artists than Rod Stewart

According to Wikipedia he has not sold over 200 million anyway in fact he is nowhere close more like 100 million.

10 Absolutely Live - Rod Stewart (Best Live Rock Albums)

How come Rod Stewart is being spam voted by the same jackass?

The Contenders
11 Han Geng (Best Music Icons of the World)

? Best music icons is a Kpop band? And number 2 is a Kpop band? Where is Elvis? Chuck Berry? Metallica, even? Where are all of these? Hell, where is Queen? Led Zeppelin?

12 Coast to Coast - Overture and Beginners - The Faces (Best Live Albums)
13 Yoshiki Hayashi (Greatest Living Rock Musicians) Yoshiki Hayashi is a Japanese musician, songwriter, composer and record producer. Better known by his stage name Yoshiki, he is best known as the leader and a co-founder of the heavy metal band X Japan, for which he is the drummer, pianist and main songwriter. The band achieved breakthrough success in the late 1980s, and besides being one of the first Japanese acts to achieve mainstream success while on an independent label, Extasy Records which he founded, the group is widely credited as one of the pioneers of the visual kei movement. I know he was spam voted, it's obvious. And I hate spam voting. But he's actually a great singer. Yes, I checked him out and my jaw dropped - incredible vocal skills outta this world. For this reason I don't mind him at #1 on that list. Because for me he's really the best male singer of today. If you don't trust me, check out the list Top 10 Quotes From Vocal Coach Reactions To Dimash Kudaibergen Vocal Performances. PS. As of May 13, 2019, he isn't #1 anymore. It's David Phelps, another massively spam voted item on this site.

Dimash should be number one.

Wow, it's already 48%-48% both nr.1 and nr.2... I feel a huge sorry for the creator of the list 'Suzypooh'

15 Black Star - David Bowie (Worst Albums of All Time)

Irregardless of whether or not you like Bowie or if you thought that Blackstar was a misstep, to call this the worst album of all time when there is far worse music on the list is ridiculous. I'm sorry.

This album is extremely overrated but spam voting it to number 1 on Worst Albums of All Time list is just pathetic it in no way is the worst of all time

This comes from the Bieber fans; they know exactly where the anti-Bieber voters come from.

16 Blue Cheer (Top 10 Best Power Trios) Blue Cheer was an American rock band that initially performed and recorded in the late 1960s and early 1970s and was sporadically active until 2009. Based in San Francisco, Blue Cheer played in a psychedelic blues rock style, and are also credited as being some of the earliest pioneers of heavy metal, with their cover of "Summertime Blues" sometimes cited as the first in the genre.

Oh yes I was a bit surprised but never thought it was spam voting.

Blue Cheer - 30%. Everything else - 16% and under.

17 Han Geng (Music Artists With the Best Dance Songs)

Same story as on the best music icons list - Hang Geng - 33%, Super Junior 17%, everything else under 5%

18 Jeff Buckley - Grace (Worst Albums of All Time)

The one person who votes for this claims that this list is a hate list, yet all he does is spam vote this on the list of Worst Albums of All time, he was also the person who voted Black Star by David Bowie to Number 1 on that list. just pathetic...

I honestly never thought that somebody can hate a person and singer like Jeff Buckley. Because there is no valid reason. There's no logical reason. Until I saw phr spam voting him on bad lists.

19 Angel - Rod Stewart (Jimi Hendrix) (Top 10 Cover Songs Better Than the Original)

You know who got this to number 1, I haven't heard of this cover

The guy wrote multiple troll comments on it, too.

20 Sweet Little Rock 'N' Roller - Rod Stewart (Top 10 Cover Songs that Developed the Original Towards Its Logical and Natural Direction)

This list is seriously messed up, this song wasn't on the orignal list by the author, and its not on his remix but it has 32% on that list and everything else is below 20%.

21 B. R. Ambedkar (Greatest People of All Time) Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956), popularly known as Babasaheb or B. R. Ambedkar, was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement and campaigned against social discrimination towards Untouchables (Dalits), while also supporting the rights of women and labour. He was Independent India's first law minister, the principal architect of the Constitution of India and a founding father of the Republic of India. ...read more.

Obviously spam voted, but it's not on a music list

22 Blue Cheer (Best Rock Trios) Blue Cheer was an American rock band that initially performed and recorded in the late 1960s and early 1970s and was sporadically active until 2009. Based in San Francisco, Blue Cheer played in a psychedelic blues rock style, and are also credited as being some of the earliest pioneers of heavy metal, with their cover of "Summertime Blues" sometimes cited as the first in the genre.

Yes, this has been spam voted. I've seen it. And I know who's the user.

23 Michael Schumacher (Biggest Cheaters in Sports)

Michael Schumacher - 46%. Everything else - 11% and under (as of April 2019). Michael Schumacher has been regularly spam voted for at least 3-4 years by the same user who spam voted Rod Stewart on good lists. Michael Schumacher wasn't even on the original remix of the author of the list.
