Best Songs from Beyoncé's Renaissance

Beyoncé released her long-awaited album Renaissance & it lived up to expectations. It’s her 1st studio album of new material as a solo artist since Lemonade (2016), more than 6 years ago (though a few tracks feature other artists). Yet it’s her turn on the house genre (which’s a new turn for her) which would explain why it was a great idea to give it that title. It became a true dance album & has made her the new dancing queen. Regardless of what you think of it, it’s surely the best album to date in 2022 & is the album of the summer & year.
The Top Ten
1 BREAK MY SOUL

It has a great vibe & what a title, though it's a bit slow for a house track, but it's an absolute masterpiece. No problem with the sampling of the remix of Show Me Love by Robin S. All done well near perfection.

2 SUMMER RENAISSANCE

This has such a powerful atmosphere filled with energy & its around the uptempo range, yet Donna Summer's I Feel Love was a perfect choice for an interpolation on this track. It even has a bit of Lady Gaga Chromatica vibes. Beyonce nailed it. R.I.P. Donna Summer, the queen of disco.

3 ALIEN SUPERSTAR

A clever title for a song that has an exotic vibe for house music. A bit of Lady Gaga Chromatica vibes in this though the vocal compares to I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred (which it interpolated).

4 THIQUE

It's 1 of the most uptempo tracks on the album & it certainly packs a punch. A deep beat with powerful 90's flavor. True music.

5 ALL UP IN YOUR MIND

Truly the most uptempo of all the tracks in this album. It's fast for such genre. It even has an avant-garde & even a PC style heard in a lot of songs from such artists over the more recent years.

6 MOVE

This marked the 1st time since 2011 we heard Grace Jones' voice in music. A truly epic comeback for her & a gift for her fans. Good beat & title for songs both by Beyonce & Grace Jones as well as Tems.

7 ENERGY

It was a great song until Keri's forced Beyonce to remove the vocal interpolation of Milkshake from this track. Kylie did not handle the whole situation respectively & she made a big deal about the vocals at the end. It was better beforehand, so now it should be the lowest here.

8 PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA

A good track for lounges. She got it with our moods.

9 CUFF IT

A good house song mixed with a funk vibe. You get into more than just house with this.

10 AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM

It's good song & better than a few others, though it's more focused on Miami bass than house.

The Contenders
11 PURE/HONEY
12 COZY

A good beat though the melody is mediocre.

13 CHURCH GIRL

Pretty much her lowest IQ in the album. A more generic trap beat added onto her typical R&B (which on the other hand is good). Definitely lacks the house genre that highlights the album.

14 VIRGO’S GROOVE

Like the all-powerful Virgo, this track has a groove that's powerful & keeps you dancing.

15 I'M THAT GIRL

This has a hip hop reggaeton vibe that was common in her earlier days & dominated music lately. It's pretty much 1 of her lowest quality song in this album.
