Best Symphonic Death Metal Bands

The Top Ten
1 Septicflesh Septicflesh are a Greek symphonic death metal band from Athens, founded in 1990. They released their first full-length album Mystic Places of Dawn in April 1994.

Now, listen. Fleshgod Apocalypse is great and is popular for a reason, but Septicflesh make music that is purely suspenseful and awesome. They are, to me, what Symphonic Death Metal should be. Some of their albums sound like film scores infused with Death Metal.

SepticFlesh surpasses every other band in any genre and it is an understatement to label them as just Symphonic Death Metal even though that is what in essence they are. It's just the most Artistic, Philosophical, Magnifiscent, Dark, Morbid and Brutally Crushing music you will ever hear with 'Anubis' being their biggest masterpiece in Metal or Music history in general. No band can compare to these Greek Titans.

They are really awesome! I don't need to describe them because words aren't enough

2 Fleshgod Apocalypse Fleshgod Apocalypse is an Italian death metal band. Formed in 2007, the group resides in Perugia and are currently signed to Willowtip Records and Nuclear Blast. The band is known for their fusion of symphonic metal with technical death metal.

The best symphonic death metal I've ever heard. Many classics are there already despite that are just releasing their fifth album. I wish them long time with such a creativity and talent.
Something to give a try if you want to start: The Fool, Sugar, The Violation, Paramour, Gravity - just to name a few exceptional songs. But honestly, I could not call any "bad" track from them, these are really exceptional among the very goods.
Interesting fact: for their album King they released the orchestratic version of the songs, they are just fenomenal on their own too.
Enough of words, go and listen - their videos are pretty good too! (But definitely nothing for the work! :) )

This band is just incredible, with two vocalists, they really got me into this genre, Make Them Suffer's NEVERBLOOM album is kind of similar but only like 30%, not as priceless. I love this band, but I am yet to try the others on this list!
