I will still love them no matter what
Unique sound (tone and atmosphere). But only a few songs from each albums stand out. They blend together well. Too well and that makes for limited diversity. Too much diversity make a mess of an album (some Queen albums). Too much blending makes hard for diversity. Tool are talented as hell (all four members) and I’m big into the progressive music but I can’t listen to a full album without my mind wandering somewhere else or getting bored. They are great at experimenting with time and stuff but they can’t do too much with their overall unique sound without sounding completely different. And if they dare stray from their original sound too much their stupid excuse for fans (annoying elitist neck-bearded jerks) will get offended and hurt themselves. Poor Tool. They changed the game in hard rock and metal but their fans won’t let them try something fresh (not a complete 180 but try a different songwriting style and use different instrument tone and lyrical concepts). They have ...more
