Top Ten Musicians Who Have Alliterative Names

This list is about musicians who have the same first letter in their first and last name. I will accept both their real and their stage names. Feel free to add to this list, as always.
The Top Ten
1 Janis Joplin Janis Joplin (1943-1970) was an American singer who rose to fame as the main singer of acid band Big Brother and the Holding Company. She was known for her eccentric hippie style and psychedelic rock music.

Wow...! What an excellent first choice. Her voice is truly amazing. She's just incredible. She puts everything into her performance. From the grittier, Piece of my Heart, to the softer and more sentimental Me and Bobby Mcgee. She believes in what she sings, and more importantly, she has a unique way of making the listener believe in them too.

Her style had a sensibility of rawness that you just don't see much of otherwise. The music tells the whole story.

2 Chris Cornell Christopher John "Chris" Cornell was an American rock musician and singer-songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist, primary songwriter and rhythm guitarist for Seattle rock band Soundgarden and as former lead vocalist and songwriter for the supergroup Audioslave. His vocal range was C2 to A5, while his highest notes went up to G6. He died on May 17, 2017.

I haven't really gotten into Soundgarden, but credit where credit's due, Chris Cornell had a tremendous set of pipes. He may well be the best vocalist of the 90s.

One of the best rock singers outside metal

3 Robbie Robertson Jaime Royal "Robbie" Robertson, was a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist best known for his work as lead guitarist and primary songwriter for The Band.

The man who was, for the most part, the creative force behind The Band. He may not be the most honest guy on the list, but his catalog of work definitely warrants him to be included.

4 Tina Turner Tina Turner, née Anna Mae Bullock, was a singer, dancer, actress and author, whose career spanned more than half a century, earning her widespread recognition and numerous awards.
5 Dick Dale Richard Anthony Monsour, better known by his stage name Dick Dale, was an American rock guitarist, known as The King of the Surf Guitar.

He's called the King of the Surf Guitar for a reason. Just listen to his music and you will understand.

6 Stephen Stills Stephen Arthur Stills is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

A tremendous songwriter. He's like Neil Young in the sense that there are a lot of great songs waiting for you whenever you get deeper into his catalog.

7 Dave Davies David Russell Gordon "Dave" Davies is an English singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was the guitarist for the British Invasion band, The Kinks.

Ray Davies may have been the creative genius behind The Kinks, but Dave was certainly no slouch either. Dave was the rougher edged counterpart to Ray, which help balance the band out. He's also the man who slashed the the speaker cone on his amp to create that distorted guitar sound that you hear on You Really Got Me.

First hard rock/punk originator at 17 years old. Was copied by a lot of garage wannabes.

The most underrated guitarist in rock and roll.

8 Joan Jett Joan Marie Larkin known professionally by her stage name Joan Jett, is an American rock guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and occasional actress, best known for her work with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, preceded by success with The Runaways, including their hit song "Cherry Bomb".
9 Bill Bruford William Scott "Bill" Bruford is an English retired drummer, percussionist, composer, producer, and record label owner.

He's worked with Yes, Genesis, and King Crimson. Not many people can say that they've ever done that. He's got a great sense of rhythm and technique, but he never gets in the way of the song itself. He's one of my all-time favorite drummers.

10 Mitch Mitchell John Graham "Mitch" Mitchell was an English drummer who was best known for his work in the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

The things that I love about Mitch Mitchell style is that it always sounds like it's constantly flowing. He also had a very strong sense of energy, which made the band play hard and fast.

The Contenders
11 Dimebag Darrell Darrell Lance Abbott, also known as Diamond Darrell and Dimebag Darrell, was an American guitarist and songwriter best known as a founding member of two bands, Pantera and Damageplan, alongside his brother, Vinnie Paul. Abbott died in 2004 after he was shot by a mentally unstable fan.

The man behind all those really clever bass lines on songs from Motown Records in the 60s. He's awesome.

Steve is best known as the drummer for Journey. He's got a lot of dexterity and versatility; he can play both rock and jazz music really well.

He rose to prominence in the early 1970s as the lead vocalist of the band Black Sabbath. Osbourne was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979 and has since had a successful solo career, releasing 11 studio albums.

His real name is John Michael Osbourne. But I really like Ozzy. That suits him well.
