The next man to do the two step for the MVP honors was this man, no doubt the greatest NBA player in the city of St. Louis. In 1956, at Rochester, a forgotten NBA city today. Pettit, put on a great show with 20 points along with 7 assists and at the free throw line, he did Okay going 6 for 7 and walking away with MVP honors. Then two years later, he put on another clinic and at his home turf in St. Louis he grabbed 26 rebounds and scoring 28 points and the MVP honors. In both games, the West won those games.

He was the first to win that award more than once. The first time was way back in 1954, and he wasn't even originally going to be the MVP in that game. It was going to be Jim Pollard. But overtime gave Cousy a chance to shine and he did with 10 overtime points in the East win. The second time was in 1957 and led his East in his hometown Boston to a win. He had 10 points, but he could've had 12 but Bill Sharman instead threw a successful hail Mary shot. Cousy though remains a legend.
