Top 10 NBA Players of All Time That Would Have the Best Chance of Defeating Michael Jordan

These players are not better than Jordan. But they might be able to have a chance.
The Top Ten
1 Kobe Bryant Kobe Bryant (1978 - 2020) was an American retired professional basketball player. He played his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. Kobe Bryant has won 5 NBA championships with the Lakers and was the all-time leading scorer in Lakers franchise history. ...read more.

Kobe incorporated the same moves that Jordan had. Examples such as the fadeaway, pull up jumper, and even the little shimmy that mike did. He definitely has the best chance of beating MJ, he's like a clone of him

The only player in the history of the game that could only scratch the surface of the moves that Michael Jordan had.

I think possible cause you're the SECond best player in the NBA! And last of all...YOUR TALL

Most similar player ever to MJ, only one with the talent, skillset and defense to win.

2 LeBron James LeBron Raymone James is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. LeBron has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and the Lakers.

James should be ahead KD he is the worst player I hate him LeBron is the best player on the planet and arguably the best player all-time

LeBron only has a chance cause of his athleticism and strength. Other than that, Michael would crush him

GOAT...everyone says that lebron is only better than mj for stats...

3 Kevin Durant Kevin Wayne Durant is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association. He has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, and the Nets. He was MVP of the 2017 and 2018 NBA Finals.

Not voting for him just heres a funny nickname for him... Kraft Dinner, Kevin Durant. Same initials. Thank me later

A chance if they played a 100 times.durant may win once but that's if Jordan wasn't feeling well and was injured

KD has length and shooting range over MJ. He would pull up from 30 with a hand in his face all day.

KD is a better scorer than Kobe and he has 4 inches on MJ, I don't care how good MJ is offensively, he can't block those 30 foot jumpers from KD

4 Magic Johnson Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. is a retired American professional basketball player who played point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association for 13 seasons.
5 Stephen Curry Wardell Stephen Curry II is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is widely considered to be one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, if not the greatest. He is one of the most beloved stars in the NBA today, as well as one of the most controversial.

He should be in the top 3 at least

Yup but number 2

6 Scottie Pippen Scottie Maurice Pippen is an American retired professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association.

He was his teammate no one knows his weaknesses better

Actually MJ isn't a great shooter & is a bit of a ballhog.But he's still the goat

7 Clyde Drexler Clyde Austin "The Glide" Drexler is an American retired professional basketball player. During his career, he was a ten-time All-Star, and named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History.

What... How is this even an option... Jordan faced Clyde.. they wanted to call it a matchup, but he got humiliated. Would not even have a god damn chance.

8 Wilt Chamberlain Wilton Norman "Wilt" Chamberlain was an American basketball player. He was born on August 21, 1936 in Philadelphia and died on October 12, 1999 in Los Angeles due to heart failure. ...read more.

Are you kidding me? Of course Wilt could defend Jordan. Wilt was exceptionally athletic which is uncharacteristic of a 7 ft big man. He could jump so high, run really fast, and push everyone out of his way. He would not let MJ shoot at all. There's an old story that Wilt once showed up to a gym in UCLA way after retirement to play a pickup game with Magic, Worthy, and Scott and simply said "There will be no more layups in this gym", as as a result he blocked every shot!

WRONG!
Way back in the day, Kareem played against Julius Erving in a charity one-on-one match.
It was not even close; Kareem just backed Dr. J down, and skyhooked over him every time, and I think the final score was 22-6.
Yes MJ was perhaps a tiny bit better than Dr. J, but only just a little, and certainly not enough to overcome such an advantage.
A legitimate 7-foot plus monster who can play is in a different league.
Remember that most of the "7-footers" in MJ's time were really only 6-9 to 6-11 due to the change in how players are measured.
Kareem or Wilt would destroy Jordan in short order, and Russell might possibly be able to defend him well enough to eke out a win.

I will admit that Wilt Chamberlain, as well as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Russell are possibly in the top 5 players of all time, but no center will come close to beating Michael Jordan in a one on one match.

Most unstoppable force the nba has ever seen. Only player I can see containing him is maybe Dennis Rodman.

9 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is an American retired professional basketball player who played 20 seasons in the National Basketball Association for the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers.

This list is reversed, it should be "who would have the best chance to defeat Kareem or Wilt? "
The truth is nobody else would have a chance against those two monsters, neither Russell's defense nor LeBron's offense would even be in the running.
Even a precision 3-point bomber like Curry would miss a shot at some point, and then with "winner's outs" rules, he would probably never touch the ball again.

He is the best ever

10 Allen Iverson Allen Ezail Iverson is an American retired professional basketball player who played for 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association.
The Contenders
11 Carmelo Anthony Carmelo Kyam Anthony is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association.

He is the most dominant player the NBA will ever see.

He beat Jordan in the late 80's in the playoffs.

14 John Stockton John Houston Stockton is an American retired professional basketball player. He is awesome.

17 Bill Russell William Felton "Bill" Russell was an American retired professional basketball player. Russell played center for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association from 1956 to 1969.

The greatest team player in history- look at the NBA titles(Boston won when he started to play) but still scored well, rebounds (a lot), had assists(checkout centers do not have assists except of Russell.},bottom line a champiuon-Boston and USF.

18 Kyrie Irving Kyrie Andrew Irving is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association. He has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and the Nets.

Vote for kyrie

19 Elgin Baylor

Elgin Baylor had the highest-ever season scoring average by somebody not named Wilt Chamberlain.

20 Oscar Robertson Oscar Palmer Robertson, nicknamed "The Big O", is an American retired National Basketball Association player who played for the Cincinnati Royals and Milwaukee Bucks.

Oscar has a good chance

21 Bill Walton
22 Metta World Peace

If punching is allowed, all of the other players would simply run away when they saw Wilt Chamberlain coming. If Metta World Peace was too stupid to take off with them, all of the other players would return later to attend his funeral.

Ron Artest would win because he would punch Jordan in the stands, "Extreme Rules Match"

23 Dominique Wilkins Jacques Dominique Wilkins is an American retired professional basketball player who primarily played for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association.
24 Dwyane Wade Dwyane Tyrone Wade Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association.
