1 John Havlicek John Joseph "Hondo" Havlicek is a retired American professional basketball player who competed for 16 seasons with the Boston Celtics, winning eight NBA championships, four of them coming in his first four seasons.

First of all why are there duplicate players on this list? Anyways, John Havlicek is indeed the greatest 6th man ever (when he was playing 6th man, he got moved up to a starter). He made the position popular and he is by far the best out of everyone in the list, everyone on the list should thank this guy. Also RIP to a legend

You have to admire all the players on this list, but "Hondo" is the best of them all.
I guess the next best after Havlicek would be Michael Cooper, who also shares the distinction of being the only defensive specialist who could reliably hold MJ to "just" his season average.
