2019 NBA Draft Grades

2storm So since the Draft is over I will give my Draft Grades for every team.

New Orleans Pelicans - Zion Williamson, Jaxson Hayes, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Marcos Louzada Silvia.
Grade - A+
The Pelicans get an A just for drafting Zion, but David Griffin did even more. He pulled Jaxson Hayes at 8 and they got Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Jaxson Hayes can definitely be the starting center in a few years and Alexander-Walker can be a high quality 6th man to backup Lonzo Ball. Great draft for the Pelicans. People will be paying big bucks to see this team. This team could potentially challenge for the 8th seed.

Memphis Grizzlies - Ja Morant and Brandon Clarke
Grade - A+
In my opinion, the Grizzlies got the rookie of the year in Ja Morant. He is a high flyer and I think he is the most skilled player from this draft. Then at pick 21, they completely stole Brandon Clarke. This team will be very, very fun to watch. Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke, and JJJ are going to be an athletic trio. Great draft for the Grizzlies.

New York Knicks - R.J. Barrett and Ignas Brazdeikies
Grade - A
R.J. is going to be a STAR in New York. He is going to be under the spotlight and I think he will thrive under it. I don't get why they traded Kyle Guy. Him and R.J. would've been great. Ignas should be a role player at the most. Otherwise great Draft.

Atlanta Hawks - De'Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish, and Bruno Fernando
Grade - A-
It was a risk to trade up for De'Andre Hunter, but I feel like he is a great fit for the Hawks. Cam is another risk, but they got him with great value at pick 10. Bruno Fernando could be a good backup center for this team. Great draft for the Hawks.

Cleveland Cavaliers - Darius Garland, Dylan Windler, and Kevin Porter Jr.
Grade - B
I love Darius Garland, but I still don't know about the fit between him and Collin Sexton. It will just be awkward, but Coach Beilein's offense was successful with two points, but now that I thought about it the NBA game is much different from the college game. I love the pick of Dylan Windler. He will be great for the Cavs. Kevin Porter Jr. is more of a question. He has discipline problems, but he is talented.

Minnesota Timberwolves - Jarrett Culver and Jaylen Nowell
Grade - B
The pick of Jarrett Culver is good, but they must be upset they missed out on Darius Garland. Jarrett Culver is by no means a bad pick though. Jaylen Nowell is a great shooter and I think he could be good off the bench.

Chicago Bulls - Coby White and Daniel Gafford
Grade - B-
Coby White is a great player. He can run this offense and move Kris Dunn to the bench. I don't know a lot about Daniel Gafford, but I think they could've gotten better talent.

Washington Wizards - Rui Hachimura and Admiral Schofield
Grade - A
Great picks for the Wizards. I love Rui Hachimura and he can give the Wizards a consistent option at the wing and forward positions. Plus he has the potential to be a star. I love Rui, he is a great fit. I also love Admiral Schofield. He can be a potential 2nd option on any team. Schofield is a steal. Great draft for the Wizards.

Phoenix Suns - Cam Johnson and Ty Jerome
Grade - C-
I like Cam Johnson, but the Suns reached, so hard for him. Plus for some reason they got Dario Saric. The only redeeming factor is when they traded for Ty Jerome. He can step in day one and be a solid starter for them. Otherwise this draft was a F for the Suns.

Charlotte Hornets - P.J. Washington, Cody Martin, and Jalen McDaniels
Grade - B
P.J. Washington is great. He is a great player for the Hornets. Cody Martin and Jalen McDaniels are questionable, but if it pays off, they could be steals.

Miami Heat - Tyler Herro and KZ Okpala
Grade - A-
I feel like they reached a bit for Tyler Herro, but I get what they are going for. As for KZ Okpala, that is a steal. I though they should've went for Nassir Little or Sekou Doumbouya instead of Herro, because Nassir and Doumbouya are just athletic freaks, which the Heat don't have. Herro is still a great player though.

Boston Celtics - Romeo Langford, Grant Williams, Carsen Edwards, and Tremont Waters
Grade - C
For one, the Celtics reached big time on Romeo Langford. I like the pick of Grant Williams. I love Carsen Edwards, but then the Celtics turn around and take Tremont Waters. Just very confusing draft for the Celtics.

Detroit Pistons - Sekou Doumbouya, Deividas Sirvydis, and Jordan Bone
Grade - A+
I absolutely love the pick of Sekou Doumbouya. He is an athletic monster and he can play the 3 or 4. Sekou is just a monster. I also like Deividas Sirvydis to come off the bench or potentially start. Jordan Bone could be a very good bench point guard. Great draft for the Pistons.

Orlando Magic - Chuma Okeke
Grade - F+
I don't get it. They drafted an injured player at 16 and he wasn't even best available. He will probably never play, because the Magic front court is stacked. They could of traded down about 10 spots and gotten the same player.

Indiana Pacers - Goga Bitadze
Grade - F
I don't get why people love this pick? He won't make onto this loaded front court. They passed on Nassir Little for Goga. Plus they got T.J. Warren for some reason. The Pacers could've gotten better players. Total bust of a draft.

San Antonio Spurs - Luka Samanic, Keldon Johnson, and Quinndary Weatherspoon
Grade - B
I think they reached on Luka Samanic, but then they turned around and stole Keldon Johnson. I also like Quinndary Weatherspoon.

Philadelphia 76ers - Matisse Thybulle and Marial Shayok
Grade - D-
I don't get why they got Matisse Thybulle. He is a defensive beast, but the Sixers don't need defense they need shooting and Thybulle can't shoot. I don't even know who that other guy is.

Oklahoma City Thunder - Darius Bazley and Luguentz Dort
Grade - B
All they did was add some depth and that is great. Darius Bazley is a good scorer and they added Dort as an undrafted free agent after surprisingly not being drafted. Solid draft from the Thunder.

Portland Trailblazers - Nassir Little
Grade - A+
The Trailblazers got the Steal of the Draft. Nassir Little will fit right into the Blazers system. Nassir Little could be a superstar talent one day, easily a top 10 talent in the Draft. Great Draft for the Blazers.

Los Angeles Clippers - Mfiondu Kabengele and Terance Mann
Grade - B-
Just solid moves. Kabengele can be a good defender and shoot. I don't really know much about his teammate Terance Mann.

Golden State Warriors - Jordan Poole, Alen Smailagic, and Eric Paschall
Grade - F+
This was a bad draft for the Golden State Warriors. 2 no name players. Eric Paschall is the only guy with a chance to be a rotation player.

Brooklyn Nets - Nicolas Claxton and Jaylen Hands
Grade - C
I honestly don't know how to grade them. They got a solid center in Nicolas Claxton, but they already got Jarrett Allen. I like Jalen Hands as well, but you got both D'Lo (Kyrie) and Spencer Dinwiddie. Just confusing draft for the Nets.

Sacramento Kings - Justin James, Kyle Guy, and Vanja Marinkovic
Grade - C+
The Kings had a good draft based on their position. I like Justin James to be a potential backup or starting SF. I love Kyle Guy for his winning mentality and his shooting.

Dallas Mavericks - Isaiah Roby
Grade - B+
I love the trade for Isaiah Roby. He could easily be a starter for this Mavs team.

Denver Nuggets - Bol Bol
Grade - A
Credit to the Nuggets for taking this man. Bol Bol was a top 20 prospect and he fell to 44. Bol Bol could be one of the best backup centers and eventually a starting center. Sure he has injury problems, but this man is the most polarizing player besides Zion and Ja.

Los Angeles Lakers - Talen Horton-Tucker
Grade - B
Potentially great backup Small Forward for LeBron. Good pick.

Utah Jazz - Jarrell Bradley, Justin Wright-Forman, and Miye Oni
Grade - B
The reason they are B is because of the Mike Conley trade. Otherwise I don't know any of these guys.

Toronto Raptors - Dewan Hernandez
Grade - D
I don't get why they drafted a big man for a loaded front court.

So that wraps it up. Tell me your thoughts.
