Lady Gaga is the only person who can be called the Queen of Pop - and that includes Madonna, who lost her crown as soon as Gaga came on the scene. Gaga's achievements are beyond those of any other artist, and unlike almost every other pop girl, she pushes musical boundaries and experiments with various styles and genres. Also, Gaga stays away from Pop super-producers like Max Martin and Dr. Luke, name me another pop girl who has has never worked with either of the aforementioned producers. Gaga revolutionised and changed the face of pop music forever when she came on the scene in 2008, she brought dance-pop and electropop back to the mainstream, leading to other artists following in her footsteps, Kesha said herself that she decided to do electropop and dance-pop because they were popular at the time, which is thanks to Gaga, showing her influence over late 2000s and early 2010s pop music. Only Gaga reinvents every era, no one else does.
While I do agree that she's an amazing performer and all that, (I'm not a fan of her music but there's no denying that she's a really great performer) should there really be a new King/Queen of pop? Is it really necessary for someone to take Madonna's and Michael Jackson's titles?
Lady Gaga earned the last ten years, she's an icon! Most rewarded and listened artist, she's in everybody's mind. Now she is also recognized as an actress and as a jazz singer. I mean... She has everything
Lady Gaga is the master of every genre, from pop to jazz to country to rock, she did it all. And her strong vocals outrun every other artist in the game. No need to vote because Gaga has already won!
Alecia Beth Moore known professionally as P!NK, is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. P! nk is an amazing overall artist. Intelligent, creative and with a perfect attitude. "I'm Not Dead" is among my all time favorite albums. But I don't think she's pop enough to be honest. Or let's say not mainstream enough. While her music is conventionally structured and catchy, it has rock influences, the tone (not the musical style) is rebellious and punk-ish, and she does not care all that much about what's trending. That's absolutely nothing negative, but far too off-beat for the title "Queen of Pop". The title fits artists that combine irresistable pop guilty pleasure with maximum creativity and several influences in a very big way - like Lady Gaga.
P! nk is far from being a guilty pleasure. She's too far on the rock and indie end of pop.
P! Nk should be the Queen because just like a queen she don't have any enemies against co singers. She is neutral. She praises Gaga, Adele, Rihanna etc. And she very talented. Very brave all song came from Heart and came from the Environment and She can sing well in Live Performances :) even gaga idolizes P! Nk
P!nk has had such a successful career. She began more RnB but now she is the ultimate pop/rock star! In my opinion P!nk is the only real pop star left, she does it how she wants without following the style of anybody else (something that most pop stars can't stop doing) Vote P!nk
Is very underrated, she deserve be the queen of pop. She is in the music industry since 2000 and still making hit songs. P! NK is timeless, she and her music never gets old. She writes song with the heart, no other singer is as sincere as her. Just a QUEEN.
