Top 10 Best New Orleans Saints Players Going Into the 2018 Season

They had a white hot 2017 season with a two headed monster in their backfield and the defensive rookie of the year on defense. But, if they want the playoffs, they need good players. Who’s the best among the Saints? We’re looking at the top ten best New Orleans Saints players going into the 2018 season.
The Top Ten
1 Drew Brees Drew Christopher Brees is an American football quarterback for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He is the only player to have back to back to back 5,000 yards in three seasons straight. Brees also has the all time best completion percentage with 66.95%.

The future Hall of Famer had yet another great season in 2017, and in what may be his last NFL season, he'll want to add to his career stats. He's definitely the best Saints player currently and will bring them to the 2018 postseason.

2 Cameron Jordan Cameron Tyler Jordan is an American football defensive end for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League.

One of the NFL's most disruptive defensive linemen, he racked up a career-high 13 sacks in 2017 with two forced fumbles and an interception. He is a true defensive powerhouse and will dominate in 2018.

3 Alvin Kamara

Mark Ingram will be suspended for four games in 2018, meaning his workload will increase. I'm confident he'll have an even better season this year than in his 2017 year, in which he had over 1,500 yards from scrimmage and 13 total touchdowns. He'll be a force in both rushing and receiving.

4 Marshon Lattimore

The reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year will hopefully dominate receivers like he did in 2017. He's young, with monumental potential to be a top-five cornerback in the NFL.

5 Mark Ingram Mark Ingram, Jr. is an American football running back for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League.

A four-game suspension hopefully won't hamper Ingram's performance for the rest of 2018. The Saints' backfield may not be the same this season, but he'll be a solid back in 2018.

6 Michael Thomas

After Brandin Cooks departed for New England, Thomas didn't disappoint as their number-one receiver. He put up 1,200+ yards with five regular-season touchdowns and two in the postseason. He'll be a starter for years to come for New Orleans.

7 Marcus Williams

He's remembered too much for his missed tackle, but just take a look at his rookie stats. He picked up four interceptions and 73 tackles. He had one really bad play, but that doesn't mean he's a bad player.

8 Ted Ginn Jr.

The journeyman has been to the big game twice but has always been on the losing side. He's a longtime veteran with the experience the Saints need. In 2017, he totaled four touchdowns. While Alvin Kamara may be the Saints' primary return man, Ginn still has a place in New Orleans.

9 Ryan Ramczyk

The third-year offensive lineman is solid enough to earn a spot here. He's been one of the Saints' best offensive linemen in years and will play very well in 2018.

10 Thomas Morstead

Give him some credit. He's one of the top punters in the NFL and is underrated at the same time. It's no wonder the Saints gave him a five-year contract extension.
