Top 10 New York Giants Players

The Top Ten
1 Lawrence Taylor

13 super seasons with the Giants, BUT 1986 will always have a place for him, the Giants and The National Football League. A World Championship, The NFL Most Valuable Player and later induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. 1986 was indeed super, here's some facts from that season, he sacked 20.5 quarterback sacks his all time best, recovered 3 fumbles, played in every game of the season, was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year and played a key role in the Giants Super Bowl 21 victory. LT, way to go.

This eventual Hall of Fame quarterback was consider washed up when he joined the Giants in the 1961 season. But when coach Allie Sherman gave the starting job to Tittle in week 3, this so-called washed up quarterbck became the toast of New York football as he led the Giants to their 4th Eastern Conference championship in 6 seasons. For his efforts Tittle was named the Jim Thorpe award as The NFL MVP. In 4 seasons in Big Blue, Tittle passed for 96 touchdowns and his 104.8 passer rating was the best in the NFL in 1963. His 4 amazing years would earn Tittle the New York Giants Ring of Honor. Frank Gifford once said "Tittle has the attitude of a High School kid, with the brain of a computer"
