NFL Players Most Likely to Win the ''FOX Galloping Gobbler'' Award in the Vikings vs Lions Game in Week 12 of the 2017 Season

We start with the game to watch on Thanksgiving in a battle for the NFC North division. This one should be very close, and the outcome will it repeat, or will this be a different story than oppose to last year? These players could come up huge.
The voting period for this list has ended.
The Top Ten
1 Matthew Stafford John Matthew Stafford is an American football quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. The #1 overall pick in 2009 selected by The Detroit Lions, Stafford has a critical acclaim in his stats. Stafford is the fastest player in NFL history to reach 30,000 passing yards. In 2016, he also broke the record for most comebacks in a season with eight. Stafford maybe one of the better Lions Quarterbacks in recent memory, but his record on the road against winning teams may haunt him with the 5-46 record. He also one of two veteran active quarterbacks to have never won a playoff game the other being Andy Dalton. In 2021, he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams.

In terms of whose the better quarterback the Lions have the advantage in this case, Stafford has only thrown 5 interceptions all year. He'll most likely be very patient who to go with on many of the passes. If he can do that then he will earn in this game.

2 Adam Thielen

Now to be fair both teams have a good set of 1 and 2 wide receivers locked, but above else I see Adam Thielen have that kinda randy moss mentality where he gets open you're in trouble, and last week the Rams felt it leaving him open was a critical mistake since Thielen is the #2 Receiver on the Vikings's depth chart he could have a big day against the Lions who have struggled with their #2 corner.

3 Darius Slay Darius Demetrius Slay, nicknamed "Big Play Slay", is an American football cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League.

The Lions believe it or not have the better #1 corner this year, and why is that well Slay has 4 interceptions where Rhodes has had a down year in terms of coverage not taken the crucial plays instead knocks the ball dead. He matches up with Diggs who has been pretty quiet from the 2nd half, and that could continue.

4 Latavius Murray Latavius Murray is an American football running back for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League.

Its very clear the Vikings have the better set of running backs, since Cook has went down they have found there grove with Murray, and McKinnon. The two make of a deadly combination of size, and speed. Knowing the Lions the last two weeks have massively struggled against the run.

5 Glover Quin Glover Freeman Quin Jr. is an American football safety for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.

One thing the Lions are very strong in is the core secondary led by Glover Quin who has had a good year along side Tavon Wilson, and Miles Kilbrew. They do rival the legion of boom in terms of strong secondary, and Keenum may feel a bit of it.

6 Case Keenum Casey Austin "Case" Keenum is an American football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League.

Speaking of Keenum well his been pretty impressive so far coming in, and taking over for Sam Bradford, if he does end up slipping in this game you bet the very next week Teddy well take full controls from there on out, but Case gives them a chance to win games believe it or not since coming in the record says itself.

7 Anthony Zettel

Its uncertain if Ansah will play or not, but the dude the Lions can count on for 16 games is the breakout player Zettel who has emerged in such a battered defensive line he takes advantage, and manages to be a force.

8 Danielle Hunter

We might have some guys unknown step up Hunter is no exception he like Zettel can make big plays, and the obvious choice is Griffin, but with Taylor Decker back, I'm thinking more Danielle Hunter having the bigger game only because Rick Wagner has looked pretty disappointing in terms of how he blocks as a right tackle for the Lions.

9 Matt Prater

Another possibility could be the trade back, and forth of field goals based on how tough both teams can be defensively. Lions have a slight advantage in this case having the better kicker who can nail from 50, and maybe even 60.

10 Kai Forbath

Kai has been no slouch either making the kicks he needed to make for the most part has done that.
